The big difference is it’s so pretty. I like pretty. It is quality metal palette with removable pan holder so you can get an extra row if desired. I love it.

I purchased this watercolor tin for my tubed watercolors. The tin came exactly as described. The tin fits 14 color in half pans. Also, it is compact enough to fit in a small purse for travel. It feels sturdy, built with quality in mind, and is easy to clean.

I bought it as a replacement for the new plastic box that my paint pans kept falling out of.This is well designed, with room for 50 half pans. Its robust enough to use inside or out in the garden. The pans are held in place by a metal clip, it takes a little tweaking, but the whole thing looks perfectly fine. I'm ordering a second one for a different selection.

Meeden watercolor palette pink. I use this for my go to palette and as you can see, it gets used often. I used it as it is for a while but to fit more half pans in I removed the inner section. I also removed the fold out portion in order to paint in a cramped area where I have limited space. I’m very happy with this purchase.

The painting is a 7 x 10 so as you can see the paint box isn’t large. This is so much easier to use than the big pallets I’ve used for years. Was sort of hard to get use to the 1/2 pan size, but really they hold as much paint as I use to put out in the big pallets. The paint box reminds me of the kind we had in grade school…in the 50’s, only this is a little larger and has two places to mix colors. Haven’t had this very long, but I really like the fact it gives me more elbow room on my tiny old table. It’s very portable, take it and a water brush and you are good to go. Plenty of pans and the price is right too. Think I’ll get another one to keep downstairs. Try it.

Love it so far. Great color, (soft baby pink), although i liked their blue-purple galaxy palette as well. Seems well made; latches well. Can't really say how it travels, since I haven't travelled or painted "en plein air", (à la Covid-19). But have filled it with my tube paints and even bought magnet strip to apply small pieces to the underside of each half pan. It's working out really well to prevent them from moving freely about. Otherwise, while trying to pick up paint with your brush, the half pans move around way too much. So, that would be my only complaint at the moment. There are a lot of mixing wells, however and it's easy to wipe clean and there is space in the center to perhaps carry a couple brushes if travelling. The cover closes fairly securely, but if you're concerned that it could pop open in a backpack, you could always use an elastic or a Velcro strap around it.

I really like this little box! I was just looking for a mixing pallet when I found this. I love not having to pull out a tube each time I want a new color. The box was in pristine condition when it arrived. It had 3 layers of padding for protection, as can be seen in the photo. The half pans click right in and don’t slide around. There is a little space between each one. I like that they’re not squeezed right up against each other. There is plenty of space between the rows for a brush, or a water brush if it’s not too fat. It’s not heavy, even filled with paint. I believe it will be quite convenient for travel. The only downside is that the white surface paint on the interior flap chipped where it contacts the edge when I closed it. That means eventual rust. The lid opens and closes easily. It seems to be pretty sturdy. Over all, it’s a really nice little pallet box. I would definitely recommend.

I love it. As pretty as it is in the pictures, the colour is even lovelier in person. Makes using my watercolours feel all the more special.
