This purchase is a temporary stopgap until I can convince my mule-headed mother to let me get her bathroom remodeled with a walk-in shower. She is quite pleased with it, which irritates me to no end.Install was effortless. This is quite sturdy, despite installing on an old fiberglass tub, and has not loosened at all in the weeks since I first installed it.

It s very helpful and was easy to install Would recommend for any on having a problem crawling out f a tub.

I gave it only three stars because it didn’t extend wide enough to fit my tub. The description did give measurements so it was my fault for not measuring my tub first. Though they were all pretty standard. I was wrong. Otherwise I could tell it was well made and sturdy. I would have liked it very much .

Received this in May - for my elderly mom's bathtub. She uses it most to get up off the toilet. This is the latest in a long series of bathtub bars, which had to be constantly tightened and adjusted until they finally just gave up. This one has stayed in place with no adjustments since May and it's now mid-November. Very easy to install, very sturdy, well-made item.

This looked good so I bought it. It is very rugged and easy to mount.It was not obvious if the screw should be on the inside of the tub or the outside - I put it on the inside so as to avoid hitting it in passing. They should tell you!There was no adjustment on angle, so the slope of the tub wall sets up where the handle is. I would have liked adjustment in that positioning. A more rigidly calibrated way of knowing how much to tighten the screw would have been a good idea - (The box says don't over-tighten or under-tighten??). It would be nice if it were a little more stylish - it looks functional.

Very happy with the sturdy material. This is metal and VERY solid once attached securely. The only reason I subtracted a star is because it takes a lot of strength to tighten the handle down so that there is no wiggling and once in place it's a bit annoying if you plan to take it off the tub routinely for cleaning. Other than that this is a perfect tub rail at a very affordable price.

My wife had a hip replacement earlier this year. She was unable to even get in the bathtub for several weeks. During physical therapy, she worked at home with the therapist to enable her to enter and leave the tub safely. This bathtub bar was essential to allow her to do so safely and on her own.We looked at several medical supply houses and then searched the internet. We finally settled on this device for quality, price, and mounting capability. We were not disappointed. I secures quickly and easily and leaves no marks on the tub. We have used it on a cast iron tub upstairs and it now resides on our fiberglass whirlpool tub in our downstairs guest suite.My wife no longer needs this for her own use, but we moved it to the bathtub in our guestroom for use by her 79 year mother when she visits. We feel secure in its use, and it will be a permanent fixture in our home.
