I tested mine with water when I first received the shipment. None of the 20 bottles leaked. But a few of the bottles had areas near the measurement lines that looked a bit thin. The weak plastic on a few of the bottles was almost transparent.I would've kept them, but the fat shape of the bottles prevented me from wanting to. It made it awkward to handle if the bottle was more than 50% full. Though I could've solved the problem with grip tape. Or by just holding the bottle with my wrist turned in a weird way when urinating. Both of these suggestions would've worked (assuming nothing else existed on the market). But I returned mine and ended up going with a case of Oakridge bottles from Betty Mills. Same color as these, but taller / slimmer and much easier to grip. It's the first time I've ever bought the amber red-orange color bottles, Normally I buy clear ones. I had my doubts about visibility, but I've been able to easily see how full the bottles are. Even in a dimly lit room, I'm able to know how much liquid is in the bottle just from glancing at it. So no worries there.I tested both these and the other ones I ordered and kept (being the same color). And both were fine for visibility. You'll have no trouble knowing if the bottle is empty, half-full, or nearing capacity.

I have looked high and low and these are the best that you will find especially for the money there are relatively inexpensive. They only hold 3/4 of a gallon and I wish they were a little bigger but they have a broad base and don't turn over very easily like the ones that are skinny and tall do. I would recommend these to anyone and I will buy more.
