Auto Float Switch
The pump comes with a sensitive automatic float switch, Start/stop automatically. Float Switch Holder allows you to disable the function of float switch. Once float switch is on the slot, pump becomes manually controlled by plug.

Used it to drain my hot tub and it was able to all but a 1/2" of water. No problem connecting it to a garden hose using the supplied fittings.

By all means was the cheapest sump pump I could find being on a limited budget for the time being I got this because the pipe to my sump pump froze somewhere near the exit and since it’s underground finding it is next to impossible. I let this little pump go in let it fill with water for about 3 min plugged it in and it completely emptied the pump reservoir in less than 2 min completely emptied 50 gallons. So I’m a happy camper right now

It works great, but not for long term use.This is the second pump I’ve bought in a month, and they stop working after about a week. But for short term drainage I guess they’re worth the 30 dollars.

This little submersible pump saved me over $1,300. Had a pool company come out to see about fixing my pump and they quoted me $1,450 just for pumping out, pressure washing and refilling the pool - not even touching the pump or the pipes. When I asked why it would be so expensive, he replied it was because "submersible pumps aren't cheap." I bought this pump, emptied the pool in about 3 hours, had it pressure washed in another 2 and refilled the next day. Getting the pool pump running was nominal.

The pump works, but not as advertised.First off, the adapter for a garden hose has the wrong threading, and I had to purchase my own.Second, the pump does not have 31ft head as advertised.Still it's affordable and for small jobs can get the job done.

This pump is comparable to Major hardware stores' pumps at about 1/2 the price. Mine is for changing my Spa's water so it won't get a lot of use. It empties my 400 Gallon spa in less than an hour. My only disappointment is no supplied fitting for a standard 3/4" hose bib! Three supplied appeared metric , not SAE. I bought an adapter at Hardware store for $6.50 and hooked my garden hose to the pump, submermerged it, plugged it in ( there is separate on/ off switch) and it worked like a charm. Be sure to release captured air before submerging fully by tilting the pump.

We had to change the liner in our pool, so it needed to be emptied completely & were looking at renting a pump for 2 or 3 days, but couldn't see paying over $100 in rental fees. We just happened to look online to see if we could find a reasonably priced one & saw this one on Amazon, so decided to give it a try - we weren't disappointed by it! We hooked up our pool vacuum hose to it (it fit perfectly on the piece that was installed at the factory) & put it in the pool to start pumping the water out. It worked excellent for what we wanted it for & had half the pool emptied in a 3-4 hour period. The next day, we put it in the pool to siphon off the rest of the water & tied the float up so that it wouldn't turn off as it got down to the bottom & within 3 hours we had it down to a level that we could finish off emptying it with our wet/dry shop vac. We are extremely happy with this & it will come in very handy for when we have to drain close to half when it comes to winterizing it in the fall - in the past, we had to use a garden hose to siphon off the water to get it down to the proper winterizing level & that would take 2-3 days easily that way, but with this pump, we'll be able to accomplish that within a few hours!

This pump stopped working the VERY first time I used it. It lasted about 15 minutes. I have an in-ground vinyl liner pool (popular in CA so as to not crack the pool in earthquakes). During rain, if the pool gets too much water in it and it breaches the seal at the top of the liner, it will cause the entire liner to detach from the sides of the pool with the liner ending up at the bottom of the pool. The repairs for this are several thousand dollars. It's quite the process: there's sand behind the liner and it has to be rebuilt up and smoothed up, then the liner stretched over all of it -- this is only AFTER the entire pool has been drained. I bought this pump to prevent this from happening. It has been torrentially raining in California as the nation has seen and observed the government issued "State of Emergency" declarations for many areas - I'm in one of them. I NEEDED this pump to work and I relied on it. It failed me and caused damage to the liner. Sure enough, water had gotten behing the liner. It hasn't collapsed yet, but it will. It's already pulled away from the sides/top of the pool in areas. DO NOT BUY THIS PUMP. It is beyond comprehension that something would only work for 15 minutes. I thought perhaps it was the electrical cord that I'd used. I switched that out to try another one with the same result. Obviously, this told me it was the pump. This piece of crap is on its way back to the company as we speak.

Great little unit, but the hose adaptor was slightly to small to thread the hose onto so I used lots of tuck tape. So order a hose that goes with it.
