I got the Male-to-Male shortest version, and it works with my X52 HOTAS. All buttons are functional, and it lights up fine.

I still use a KVM. I have an old computer for old software that will not run on a modern computer. This cable was needed to slip into the limited space on the KVM. It works so well I will probably order another for the keyboard.

This product's male connectors didn't fit (plug into) any of the female ps/2 receptacles on just about any other item Amazon sells that has a female ps/2 port. Not sure why, pinouts looked okay, but maybe tolerances were off. Pins were not bent. Afraid to push too hard as that would bend pins. This was the only place on Amazon I could find a ps/2 male to male adapter or substitute.
