The description for the item says these inlay dots are 6.3 mm. The standard holes in a guitar fretboard are tipically drilled either with a imperial 1/4'' bit (6.35 mm) or with a metric 6 mm bit.The holes on my guitar are 6.35 mm so I thought these inlays would work well enough. That's not the case because they are too small to fit a 6.35 hole, they measure 6.1 mm (see photo attached).Whoever is around guitar and guitar repairs knows that the inlays need to be a perfect fit and even a 0.2 mm difference is too much.

I don't care for these. The seem to be clear with a fan of white on one end. If you manage to drill the inlay hole to the perfect depth, I suppose they will work just fine BUT if you have one that sits proud of your fretboard, you don't have much that you can sand off without losing the color.Diameter seems fairly consistent, height might vary by a little bit tho.I won't be buying these again.
