Simple and easy to use.Add to your NG iron pipe with gas tape, add compressed air (1.5x what pipe carries) air from bike hand pump or compressor to confirm PSI. Let it be for 30min or overnight to confirm seal is good.

I bought this pressure gauge to pressure test a new gas line to my garage. It worked perfectly and did not lose any pressure during the 3 hours of testing.

Ive used this and it does leak as others have mentioned. You can remove the gauge and apply some tape and it will fix the issue. What ive done on top of that is hooked it up to a valve shut off. For the price it’s okay. I wouldnt recommend it to someone that isnt handy

I was holding the psi gauge in my hand when I was closing a door and the vibration from closing the door with the device in my hand caused the back plate with the pressure readings to severely deform. It bent inwards causing the back plate to inhibit the needle from moving past 12 psi. I believe it still operated for my purposes but I now question the reliability/accuracy of the gauge.

Use plennty of pipe dope or tape. The threads are a bit loose for NPT

Out of the box, leaked at air connection, removed the air supply fitting, used yellow pipe dope, connected back to gas line and pumped up, still a leak, removed it again, used yellow Teflon on fitting, back on gas line, pumped back up….no leak on that fitting BUT have leak on 3/4” fitting now, removed, used gas yellow Teflon on it, still a leak. Went and bought another 3/4” nipple, wrapped in Teflon again, tested and leaking, see attached photo.Pretty much JUNK.(Note: retired GC, so, I’ve done this many times, used an older gauge instead of this new one, worked fine.)

Purchased together with a SharkBite 1/2 Inch MNPT Adapter and an NPT 1/2 female to NPT 3/4 male thread brass reducer; to pressure test a 1/2 PEX shower valve installation. No problems with the gauge; it did help me to locate a leaky fitting, so it was definitely worth the money spent. The accuracy of the gauge seems ok, in that it matched the tire inflator gauge I used to within a few PSI - definitely good enough, which makes it suitable for purpose.
