When I think of heavy duty, I'm thinking of something over 6 mil. That's why I was surprised that, although this plastic sheeting is only 2.4 mil, it was very strong and had great tinsel strength. I don't see this becoming brittle easily or any time soon.It is pretty clear, not that milky kind of translucent clear plastic, but clear. I have a small garden area with hoops in the ground. I use this plastic to cover the garden in the winter when the frost tends to get a lot of plants. It also keeps the animals away as well if you tuck the front and back.
