I wanted some 10”x13” kraft envelopes, but didn’t want a large quantity. I selected this 15-pack of reasonably-priced Mead envelopes. The description says “box,” but these envelopes came wrapped in cellophane without a box. The envelopes have a clasp for closure if you wish to reuse, plus a glue strip (which needs to moistened) if you wish to secure against tampering. Information says “heavy weight,” but I don’t consider these to be so. They are thin, like dollar store envelopes (although my dollar store does not sell this particular size of kraft envelopes). These envelopes are made in the USA.

Exactly what you’d expect for standard paper mailers. They seal well, and the adhesive is good.

The paper is thick enough to survive the apocalypse (or at least the USPS sorting process). I stuffed one so full it looked like a burrito ready to burst, and it held up like a champ. That metal clasp? It’s basically Fort Knox for your documents. It’s so sturdy I half expected it to come with a combination lock.And let’s talk versatility. Need to mail important documents? Check. Want to hand-deliver a mysterious envelope to a coworker just to keep them guessing? Double-check. Looking for an emergency fan when your AC breaks? Yep, it works for that too.My only caution: be careful when you close the clasp. One wrong move and you'll feel like you’ve been poked by a miniature ninja. But hey, small price to pay for secure delivery.In summary, these Mead envelopes are the real deal. They're durable, versatile, and oddly satisfying to use. Plus, they make you look like you have your life together—even if you're just mailing your Netflix DVD return from 2008. Highly recommend!
