These snake gaiters had/have the potential to be 5 stars but two problems were the reason for my 2 star review. First off, I bought these because of the integrated knee pads. I wore them for half a day when both zippers that attach the knee pads would separate. I would take them apart, rezip them and they would come apart immediately. A velcro attachment or just having them sewn on permanently would be better. Second, the back of the gaiter needs to be shorter as they dig in to the back of your knee when squatting. Improvement needed.

One of the buckles broke as soon as I tried to secure it. Cheap thin brittle plastic, no better than a toy in my opinion. I purchased it to mitigate rock and debris from hitting my legs while using a string trimmer. Never made it past trying to put them on. My previous pair from another vendor has lasted for years. I wanted this set because it had coverage for the knees as well. Looks like they are going back tomorrow and I will continue to use my original leg guard along with some additional knee pads. I really wanted these to work. Instead they have proven to be cheap junk!!

I like the this product a lot. They add a great deal of protection from snake bites, when positioned properly.

Live in Northern Nevada and while hiking, fishing, gold hunting, or metal detecting there is always rattle snakes and you will always run into them when you are not prepared.

I bought these for visiting a son who lives in Texas, since I am not concerned about venomous snakes in the state where I live. They fit comfortably and I think I would be fine with using them. We did not get a chance to walk in areas where wearing them would be more advisable though, and if we had, I think I would still feel better that they did not have to pass a test! Before leaving, I gave them to his friend, who had been looking for some, and she appreciated the gift.

I use these to protect my shins while weed eating the yard. They worked great and didnt feel the hard objects being thrown out and bruising my shins anymore.
