You get a lot for spending so little! I love my kit! One thing though was that the pair of tweezers punctured its case.Paper strips are the perfect thickness. And the variety of colors is amazing.The tools that come with are of great quality and easy to use. I’m still learning.

I have to edit this review. As I picked up the case I noticed the bottom is completely broken. See last pictures. So now it's 3 stars. So sad, the packing SEEMED so good. I still feel the contents are good, time will tell.I wanted to learn paper quilling for a long time. I'm now living on the road in a camper, and needed something compact to do. This kit checked all my boxes. Everything here that is needed when I'm not close to to a city for supplies. Had it shipped to the place we're staying for a while. Can't wait to start.No glue or batteries included, so make sure to order at the same time if you need those, I forgot and didn't order them.Update: 2/19/2024I have been using this kit for week, while the case came cracked, and I have to find a new one, this kit is FANTASTIC!Do not hesitate buying, but know you're taking a chance with the case

I bought this kit and a filler kit on a whim after seeing some art someone else had done. I had never heard of paper quilling but it looked cool. I used some clear Elmer's glue that I use for making paper beads to glue the quills. All of the tools and accessories I found useful and cool. I like that you can do 2-d or 3-d art with it. It comes with hand quilling tools and an electric tool. The electric tool is powerful and helpful for people without the handskill/strength for twisting the hand tool, but my Chiweenie is afraid of the sound (it buzzes) and hides under the blankets. The set comes with practice cards and instructions. I love the white and purple plastic mat, I use it to quill a bunch of shapes at a time and use it to glue individual pieces before adding them to the picture. I have attached a picture of a cat that is my first completed project that I made for a friend from this kit. The yellow background paper also came with thw kit. I bought a shadow box at Michaels to accommodate the depth of the quills. A regular frame wouldn't fit over it and I wanted protect it from dust and moisture. I mostly used "Paisley" or tear drop shapes for this project, filling them in once I drew and outlined a line drawing of a cat. I would recommend this kit for beginners and anyone who loves paper quilling. The Flamingo practice card was my favorite. If you plan to make full pictures like I did I recommend have some card stock on hand to attach it to. The kit comes with a couple of textured sheets of paper, the peach-ish color back ground being one that came with the kit. The kit came with a variety of colors and shapes of quilling paper. I purchased an extra kit of color and sizes, also from Amazon because I like different lengths and thicknesses. The only thing I didn't like were the small scissors. They were a tight fit (like children's scissors) and were sharp in the plastic handle areas so they hurt my hands. I have small hands. This isn't a deal breaker for me. I'm an artist, so I have a whole drawer of different kinds of scissors for all different media of Art. Overall I felt this was a great kit, it even came with a plastic box to organize it all and had snaps to lock it in place with a handle. Perfect for portable personal use or a really cool gift.

It comes with quite a bit of paper packs. The paper seems to be of good quality. The colors are bright and pretty. It includes some instructions and patterns. And everything seems to be good quality. I like that it all comes in a handy little storage bin. They only thing I didn’t like is that there was no glue included I ended up getting the wrong glue and it was to thick to come out of the little nosel in the precision glue bottle now I can’t use it at all and have to purchase new ones. That was my fault though I guess. Overall I think it’s a good value for the money. There is a lot of tools included and great for someone just starting to get a decent number of supplies.

Great starter kit for someone (like me) who wants to try quilling. the kit has a great range of goodies in it, and the bonus of a carry case to keep it all in.

I built my own quilling kit last year. And then put it somewhere "safe." After 6 months I gave up and decided that this time I'd just buy a full kit. While I hate buying to replace lost items, I'm so glad I did. This had everything that I had already put together on my own, plus so much more.No, it doesn't come with an instructions booklet - use the web and youtube for that. But it does come with every gadget I've ever seen for quilling including a few that I had to go research how to use. It does include pretty pictures that you can quill on top of and then frame. These are not standard US sizes, so some trimming will be needed to frame them.I also love that it all fits in one box (Ok, I admit that I wasn't able to put it all back, I had to take the paper quills out and store them separately as I was not able to Tetris it all back inside the box! But that's fine as I like to hang my quills via some hooks and binder clips so that they straighten out.) All the tools, boards, etc., are all in one easy to see through plastic container. And the size is standard for America, so I was able to stack it on top of my storage box for cross-stitch kits.All in all, I'm happy with the kit and pleased that I finally gave in and bought the replacement. (And yes I found my lost kit about a week after finally giving in and buying this one. In a drawer that I swear I checked at least twice. I still don't regret buying this kit even after finding my own kit. This one has so much that mine didn't and buying it this way was cheaper than me continuing to buy it piecemeal.)

Awesome kit and great value! Got this for my daughter who is a first time/beginner quilter. This kit has everything she needs to start and more...comes with an instruction manual on how to use the various tools and the templates have made it really easy for her to get started. The storage box is great it holds everything inside and is a thick plastic which is durable. She often takes it around the house and picks up her projects wherever she left off. Would definetly recommend.
