I store hard boiled eggs in this so they do not stink up the fridge. It doesn't seem dishwasher safe so I was it by hand. It works great and fits well

Bought this for an egg storage in my refrigerator and it works OK ... but hard to retrieve eggs from as they sit deep in the tray ... I have to wet my fingers to retrieve the eggs from it but that is no big deal. This is more for like camping or transportation or storage. Very heavy-duty.

Schön wenn die Eier nicht im Kühlschrank rum liegen sollen.Leider ist die Schale sehr hoch. Manchmal lassen sich die Eier schwer fassen.

I like that it's a reusable 12-egg container that fits in the space on the fridge door (a lot of the reusable egg containers I found elsewhere were 14 eggs. Why?!). It's a little awkward to get the eggs out, sometimes, due to how deep the container is. Also the bottom of the egg divots can have molding artifacts that I think contributed to an egg cracking in the container. But I like that it doesn't have a hinge or any hard-to-clean crevices to get grody, and it seems sturdy so far. So, it is what it is.

The headline says it all. The product is heavy clear acrylic plastic and comes with a lid. I bought two because I buy eggs by the two dozen. I brought it because most of the time eggs in those flimsy cartons wind up getting cracked, especially the ones on the end. With these storage units, I can transfer the eggs and so far have not had one get cracked after storing it. I really like the lid, since I generally guy Jumbo eggs and with the lid in place the units are stackable making storage that much easier. Since this is a heavy duty plastic I'm assuming its dishwasher safe, but I generally clean these if they need it, but so far they haven't and when I first got them I gave them a quick hand wash in the sink. I would think if you do stick them in the dishwasher, top rack only with no heated dry as this plastic might warp. But for what they are they serve the purpose for which I purchased them and do the job they were designed for with simplicity and sturdiness.
