Stainless is the only way to go.It's a shame that these aren't offered in a standard type washer.

I have 4 Cragar SS Unilug rims mounted on a 5" bolt pattern Lincoln (yes, they did exist in the late 70's). Offset washers are needed to center the rims by spacing the lugs against the aluminum "lumps" on the rim on either side of the lug hole.I had the original Cragar washers, but the chrome was flaked off, and they were rusty. I didn't want the Cragars again, as they would just rust again. These are Stainless Steel. They are flat. The Cragar washers I had were cupped somewhat, like a Bellville washer. The Cragar washers were a bit funny to tighten. Keep tightening to flatten the washer, until flat, then the torque would be correct. The McGard wsher, being flat, torque right up. No funny "did I strip that lug nut" feeling that was ever present with the Cragar washers.

The stock lugs and washers that came with my racestar rims where complete garbage. After mounting the rims on my car twice they were trashed. I almost sold the rims because of the difficulty I was having mounting them at the track till I bought these washers and lugs. Man what a difference a quality part can make. Even though my rims are universal lug style these new lugs and washers make the install a breeze and they go on as if they were direct drilled for my car!
