At one end is a hook, similar to a crochet hook. This is used to grab the yarn or fabric strip and pull it through the canvas. The other end of the tool has a large eye. This is where you thread the cotton twine.

I've used this locker hooking tool and wanted more to share with my friends. It's a fun hobby that uses scrap fabric and makes a useful finished project. This was more than I paid at the local craft store, but they no longer carry them. So this was easier to buy them on line than to chase all over looking for them.

The hook was light weight and smooth. I was using this hook for locker hooking. I could use this size hook for both fabric strips and bulky yarn. A bit pricey but I couldn't find this product locally so ordering through Amazon, I ordered it on Sunday and recieved it on Monday!

It is a nice locker hooking tool. It is smooth and brightly colored so it won't snag on the rug you are working on and it is easy to find if you drop it.

It is hard to find this tool so i was excited to see it on amazon. It does the job but does start to bend if you are using it for long periods of time. I did get a very large kitchen rug done with it but might look for a different brand for the next one.
