I bought the ReplacementSpacer wit hthe hope for a smooth performance, but unfortunately, they didn’t meet my expectations. The spacers themselves are of decent quality, but they don’t seem as smooth as I had hoped, which affects the overall glide and performance of my skates.

Budget inline skates with flat frames and 6mm axles need spacers like this and may come equipped with nylon ones that are squishy and not durable. These are a good upgrade. They fit pretty snug, so removing them may require a tool (e.g. use an Allen wrench to push or tap from the opposite side), but they come out of bearings more easily than bearings come out of wheel hubs.Note that you still also need spacers between the bearings, and they'll need to be 8mm inner diameter ones, not 6mm. That's because these flanged spacers have to insert all the way through the bearings and part-way into the between-bearings spacer. So if reallocating wheels from 6mm-axle skates that don't need these flanged spacers (and thus should be equipped with 6mm inner diameter spacers between bearings) to a skates that do need these flanged spacers.

I worked in the inline skate industry for several years. Always go for metal (aluminum, alloy) frame and spacers. Plastic ones get crushed and will rub on your bearing walls. I used these to upgrade a pair of cheap kids skates with wheels that would not spin more than one turn when slapped. These with new wheels and bearings was the ticket! The wheels are the light up kind, and keeping the magnetic core suspended in the wheel was an important task for this spacer.
