About Us
In 1920, at a time when craftsmanship was a matter of pride, Max Gottlieb Meinel established MAXIMA in Markneukirchen, Germany. In the early 1950s, MAXIMA built a new plant in Geretsried for the production of monofilament nylon fishing line. Using the advanced technology, MAXIMA manufactures the fishing line.

This is my husband’s favorite brand of line. We order these spools in several different lbs test. And getting the service size rolls just makes sense for our family of 7. Or if you are just the avid fishing. You really can not beat it for the money.

This is some of if not the most expensive mono/ copolymer line you can buy! You would think that this company could add a piece of tape to hold the tag end on the spool !!!! Absolutely ridiculous. Smarten up Maximam ! I would write the company but the only website I can find is a distributor. Made in China of course!

I usually use Trilene XL in green because it's very low memory and cast's well but wanted to try Maxima. Comparing the two, the Maxima is a little stiff but stronger. I wouldn't buy over 8LB. for spinning reels. The memory of this line due to the stiffness is NOT very good but I love the color.

I use this weight for tying leaders and go through a lot of it. Buying in this quantity, you are getting twice as much for the same money, great deal.

Only use max , since the early 80s ,4lb,crappies perch, 5lb on all my noodle rods for fish in the 5 to 10 lb fish ,8 lb for medium rods for Lake Michigan kings(salmon) tipits on fly rod and I'm not alone ,hundreds of fishermen changed to this line ,remember you get what you pay for ,great steelhead river line ,thanks for a great product
