Similar to others here, about 3 months after burning, an entire spindle of Maxell branded RICOHJPN-R01-002 went bad. They all developed a visible ring about 1/3 through the disc, & are unreadable after the first 1/3 by all my players (Philips 727, Asus , & Pioneer 8) (oddly except a Cyberhome 500 which reads them fine). I will NEVER knowing by Ricoh again.
