Pros: Nice finish. True color, as advertised. Easy to install.Cons: Exposed screws have nickel finish. I wish those screws had the same finish, matching the paper holder, as shown in the photos from seller.Suggestions: Use stud finder to avoid studs. Never cut studs. Use level and measuring tape to outline the 5.5 by 5.5 inches square in your drywall. Mount as indicated in the instructions. Once mounted, slightly tighten screws and use level before fully tightened as shown in my photos. Clean and place toilet paper roll.

Replaced old chrome, spring-loaded rod version that only held single rolls, bonus it’s matte black to finally match other updated fixtures. Just needed a slightly bigger hole in the wall, so you may need a saw to install on a wood wall.

I just completed the bathroom renovation from hell. Everything went wrong. Almost everything was done twice - sometimes just because it looked bad with all that blood I left on it. Anyway, we replaced a sixties vintage tp holder with this one. It was in brushed nickel, like the boss wanted, and there was only one place to put it - basically where the other one was - on the wall across from the throne.I had to replace the drywall on that wall because the old shower leaked, but I knew where the studs were and was careful to place this between them. The manufacturer supplied a template (thanks!) that made it easy to put the hole in the wall. There's a bracket that goes behind the wall and screws snug the bracket to the holder, pinching the wall between them. It's pretty slick and quite easy to do. It took me about ten minutes to mark the drywall and cut out the hole with a vibrating multi-tool. Slapped that bracket in there, put the screws in and tightened them up, making sure that the holder was level.It looked great! So..... I left the bathroom and closed the pocket door about halfway before it hit the back of that bracket with a disheartening thunk. Look, the other one was in exactly the same place, but it didn't have a bracket like that - it was held in place with a chunk of plaster-of-paris (sixties construction methods...) After a bit of contemplation, I took it out of the wall, threw away the bracket and put a good bead of construction adhesive around the flange of the unit. I put it in the hole on the wall and used duct tape to hold it level and in place until the adhesive dried. Yeah, the duct tape hurt the freshly-painted wall when I took it off, but I fixed that. That tp holder is now firmly attached to the wall and our pocket door works again. At least I didn't have to bleed on it......

This holder has a large faceplate that covered the previous holder’s area. It has the depth for very large Charmin rolls and is easy to change rolls. It installs easily to sheet rock walls.

We changed out our 50 year old chrome TP holders for these matte black ones and they look amazing! In a cramped bathroom, this is so nice to not intrude into the space because it is in the wall. Also the pivot arm makes it super easy to change rolls quickly, without the spring popping out and rolling away on the floor. My previous style surface mount ones can wiggle loose and eventually tilt downward, making the TP fall off. With this style, that will never happen. These stay put and look great!

Purchased for powder room Reno and it is exactly as described, easy to install and classic design. I love the lift-up feature to change toiler paper rolls, very convenient. I would purchase again.

We replaced a single open bar paper holder with this one and it works great and doesn’t move around like our old one. Fairly easy to install, just take care when tightening screws as they can strip out if you over tighten with power driver. Use hand screwdriver.
