This is a really loud metronome. Its exactly what I needed for practicing 3 finger Scruggs style banjo.

Item is working fine but it’s really annoying that you can’t reduce the volume. To fix the issue I placed some tape but not ideal.

Aucun contrôle du volume? Le volume est si fort qu'il est impossible de jouer du piano en même temps. Même dans les écouteurs il est trop fort pour l'oreille. Achat inutile qui ne servira pas.

This is WAY too loud. I mean painfully loud. There's no volume control. See our video review on yootoob.

Didn’t know it comes without battery. Very loud metronome. I had to put a tape on the speaker to bring down the volume. It would be nice if this metronome has volume adjustment like the MR600 model. Other than that, I love this metronome very much. Helped both for my piano teaching and personal practice.

I bought this as a gift for my elderly bagpipe teacher. His hearing is starting to go a bit and the old Wittner that he had just didn't have a loud enough click. I looked for one that reviewers said was the loudest and boy were they right! This thing will rattle the bones in your skull! While playing (on a practice chanter, mind you) it is easy to hear, and the even if you couldn't there's lights as well. I find it uncomfortably loud if it's on while I'm not playing, though. But again, I bought it hoping it would be as loud as possible, so that's not an issue. Build quality seems good, it's nice and simple, you really don't need much with metronomes, just a steady click.

Well... maybe only 4.5 stars, but that's because I really want to give this a 3.5 star rating, but I can't. And I do "like" it, which is Amazon's definition of 4 stars.First, the good stuff. This metronome has an almost ideal form-factor. I love the dial indicator, which allows for near immediate tempo setting. I love the virtual swing bar, which I find much more useful than an audible tock when practicing. I love how loud the audible tock is, however, for situations where you need to hear it over the din of other things. The two slide switches (Power/swing-only/swing+audio and a beats/tuning freq) are both simple and intuitive, again allowing for almost immediate setting of what you want. Finally, I really like the idea (more on this to follow) of the included single-ear earpiece.But...As noted, this thing is loud, which is great, except when you don't need it to be super loud. No problem, I think, until I realize the unit has no volume control. Really? Oh, that's what the earpiece must be for, right? Well... here's where one solid star is lost. There is zero, and I mean zero, reduction in decibel level between the main speaker and the earpiece. I'm confident had I left it in my ear for more than a few beats, serious damage would be done to my hearing. And I know that last sentence sounds like hyperbolic crap. Well... you've been warned. Needless to say, I find the earpiece completely useless, as opposed to being the really nice feature it should be.My other complaint, although a minor one, is the quality of the enclosure. I wish they had opted for a plastic I felt would survive a 4' drop onto a hard floor. With a battery, this thing weighs in at 170g (6oz), and I'm sure it's going to get knocked off the music stand eventually. I'm also pretty sure I'm going to be repairing a cracked case when it does. Given it's very reasonable price to begin with, I would have gladly paid a few extra dollars for a more rugged case.

Excellent metronome. Sturdy and accurate. Easy to dial in the tempo. It is a bit loud with no control to lower the volume. I would still recommend the metronome as a home use item. Fast shipping and nicely packaged. A+++

The click sound is to loud and is in need of some way to control the volume. The beat rate needs to be infinite because all music does not fit into the choices provided. Otherwise it functions OK.

Well made, but had to return it. The beep is extremely loud to the point that it hurts your ear. Would be great if there was a volume control.

I was looking for a very loud metronome for my daughter's violin practice but since we couldn't really test the sound through internet so I decided to take a risk and I AM VERY VERY HAPPY with my purchase.We have MR500 and it is good for piano (for my younger daughter who is a late beginner: not too much fast or loud) but not loud enough for my older girl who plays fast and intense so I bought Kala brand that works as both tuner and metronome.(it is digital)It was not even close....The pitch was high but not strong plus the indicator light is in front and the speaker is in back which is very weird design so she couldn't hear it when she looked at the light or the other way around. So so we use it for cello and it works fine because its sound is very different from cello so you can hear the metronome.This MR800, is amazingly loud and I think you can use it with any musical instrument. It has earphone jack so probably you can use it for drum..(well. I don't know anything about drum but I am just guessing) .Anyway, my daughter loves it for its clear, loud sound and I think it is easy to use comparing to digital.
