These make it easier to teach my kids the different shapes, they love these!

So this seemed nicer from the pictures. I had to punch out the cardboard and fold them into the plastic pieces. Some of them were finicky and hard to fit into the shape. After some maneuvering, I did get them all to fit, but still seemed sort of cheap.

This is a very interesting, educational and entertaining toy - I got it for my granddaughter who is 4, but I think I will wait a little before giving it to her so she can better understand the shapes and geometry.

I am using these geometric shapes in a 2nd-grade classroom to help them understand the breakdown of the sides and it's working great. I can see this set also being used in a home to give a child an individual understanding of each of the shapes and how they work. This is a great overall tool for parents and teachers.

It is great to be able to physically handle the shapes to better understand the relationships between what we see on the page and how they are in 3 dimensions.I am impressed with the quality of the paper shapes. They are made with a very thick and glossy card stock which holds up better to use. The plastic shapes are well made, sturdy and easy to open and close. These are the perfect size for kids lessons and the colors are fun.

Well made and presented kit. Good collection of reference 3D shapes for learning. The activity of popping out the colored card shapes and bending them into the plastic containers is very fun and engaging, but relatively short lived. Note: where the card is scored to indicate the folding lines, isn't quite deep enough. This is particularly evident in the case of attempting the hemisphere and sphere.Fortunately the kit lives beyond the folding activity, and that is where the majority of the value lies.

The 12 shapes included are: hemisphere, sphere, cube, cuboid (aka…rectangular prism), triangular pyramid, square pyramid, cone, cylinder, triangular prism, square prism, pentagonal prism, regular hexagonal prism. For each 3D shape, the corresponding net is included so children can see what the flattened (2D) shape looks like too. Each cardboard net has fold lines to indicate where to fold it so you can create the 3D shape which then fits inside the clear, plastic 3D shape. These models help children understand geometric shapes and improves spatial thinking. The cardboard nets were easy to fold and place inside each plastic 3D shape except for the sphere & hemisphere which were a bit more challenging to make fit due to the greater number of folds needed. All of the other nets were easy to fold & fit inside their corresponding 3D shape. Each plastic shape has an indented place which indicates where to pull apart each plastic shape. The shapes were easy to pull apart and snap back together.A two-sided, full color instruction sheet is included with the shape set. Illustrations on the sheet show each of the 12 geometric shapes, the corresponding net, an outline of each 3D shape, shape name, formula for finding surface area of each shape, formula for finding volume for each shape. The box can be used for storage of the shapes because it has carved out spaces for each space. This shape set is perfect for both parents or teachers who want to teach children about 3D shapes.
