So finding gear that's made in the USA nowadays is low key rare. Given the low quality of most import gear I will buy American when the choice is available making it a plus for me that this Mastercool 69000 was made in the states. The 69000 recovery unit is prosumer entry level grade. I tend to prefer Mastercool brand equipment for my automotive service needs, so when I decided to get into vehicle refrigerant recovery this was my top choice and I would say it compares well with the Robinair RG6. I went with this one out of brand preference/experience plus the low pressure cutoff feature. You need to be EPA clean air act section 609 trained and certified to be using this machine (or any refrigerant recovery machine for that matter) for automotive use.Pros: The 69000 has not just a high pressure shut off switch for safety, but also a low pressure shut off switch so you don't have to hang around watching it. Mastercool has a number of accessories and is a large well known American company to buy equipment from. Their warranty on this model is one year. In operation it pulled 3 lbs of R134a in under 15 minutes. It's on the quiet side as well. Simple easy to follow instructions for a prosumer or professional.Cons: It's pricy. Not much packing material in the box so better hope the shipping carrier takes care. There's no filter/drier included. And there's no oil separator either. Though you can add both by purchasing the Mastercool 69500 accessory kit separately. Build quality was not what I've experienced in the past from other Mastercool gear. Two of the front faceplate sheet metal screws literally fell out from vibration on the first use (I recommend going around all the philips heads and tightening them down before using with some loctite as a number of mine were loose). This factory defect experience gave me pause about the "Made in the USA" quality but the unit has been working fine since - having been used on three vehicles now without further incidents as I write this review. No regrets on the purchase, but I still took off one star for the out of the box build quality.

I am a DIY auto technician and this machine works well for me. The instruction may be a bit confusing to some, but read it carefully if this is your 1st time. It's a straightforward operation.
