This is a very complete wine making kit with good instructions and lots of support. It would have been 5 stars but ours did not come with the lid for the bucket.

Was delivered missing the yeast nutrients and campden tablets, but I got two each of the no-rinse cleanser, pectic enzyme packets, and fermentation locks. Not sure how much of each I should have expected, as there was no item list.I wish the instruction booklet was made for the kit and included pictures and instructions for precisely what the kit contained. Instead, it's a more general guide so you have to figure out and look up terms on your own, including the names of things in the kit itself and how to use them. I still don't know what the candy cane shaped tube is called or what it's for. The spring tip bottle filler is labeled, but I'll have to look up how it's used, it's not mentioned in the included guide.This kit could be improved with a better manual made for this specific kit and an itemized list with names for each component so it's easier to tell what everything is, and quickly identify what you're missing. I'll still try making wine, but I don't feel like I've been set up for success.

This kit would be for an experience wine maker.I returned it because the instructions were hard to understand and should have followed a step by step process. Upset I had to pay so much to return it...

I am very pleased with this kit. I did purchase the wine thief and vessel as well as the add on kit. I would suggest getting a second carboy as one might want to rack the wife several more times to get rid of all yeast (bad flavor) and make it clearer. Some suggest 2-3 times. Other than that it made short order of our Blackberries and hope to get enough to share with a few close friends. I have had wine that had a yeasty taste and know know why. Might filter some, but rest will rest for at least 3 months. Nice little kit, but add the wine thief/vessel and make sure to get bottles at some point. I would suggest the second carboy and wait on the bottles. Grandma always just poured hers into a one gallon jug and never messed with bottles. But she hated messing with the corks and most was used at holidays so never lasted.
