I open a lotta things, daily, and these magnetic multi-tools are proving to be quite the ally for me.Before, I was using a thin and pointed end of a veggie peeler which is metal, to open mason jars. But now I just use this super convenient and way better option, and since it is just for lids of various varieties, it serves so many other roles like opening yogurt plastic lids (crucial because my preferred yogurt brand likes to cement-seal them on usually), and they are fantastically magnetic, and there are two - so I leave one on my magnetic stove vent hood where I open my sealed mason jar quart of herbal infusion every morning, and one on the fridge, where my yogurt and cream cheese and cottage cheese, etc. are. I have also needed this tool randomly for other odd things a few times, and I love that it is just right there.Overall, I think these are a very good value and invaluable to have at home. The thing I do not love is the challenging-to-clean crevice on the metal side (in case it gets dirty, however it should not typically be liable to get dirty, but that doesn't mean it won't).

I bent the lid on the first try. Shame on me. Adjusted my technique and it worked well, removing the lids without damage. So far so good. Began again and critical portions of the lip that goes against the jar lid began to break off. More with each try and at 4 jars it was completely inoperable. Great idea, poor quality.

Does not work well on Mason Jars, the key tab is ok. Opens drink cans great! but would not be the reason I would have bought it. I bought it to open Mason Jars.

This is a handy tool to have around. It's not perfect or super impressive, but I've used it a number of times now, and it's helpful. The part that I find most helpful is the metal part that can be used to pull back those yogurt tops or the tabbed lids when you open a new bottle of something. That is what makes this tool worthwhile to me. For just that, I feel like they could make something even narrower for those tiny pill bottle tabs that are stiff to get, and maybe even have a way to make them really tighter for grasping. The ease of pulling by rolling the tabs up on this, though, was pretty impressive, and it's been helpful.I've used this tool for opening other things, and it's generally fine, but I wouldn't buy it for that. I still think using a butter knift on the lids of mason jars works a bit easier for me. I like the idea of the magnet to hold the lid, but it's not very strong at all, so I don't think that is helpful. Also, this is light weight, but the magnet for hanging the tool on the fridge is still not super strong either, and I find this has been easily knocked off our fridge a number of times by people brushing by it a bit. We have a few other magnetic wine openers and stuff on our fridge that do not fall off. I do think this is a good tool that's worth spending a few dollars on, but I wouldn't say that this is a particularly great value for the money either. It is helpful, and I will keep it, but there are lots of areas where this could be improved a bit more too.
