I purchased 10” stainless steel drywall pan for smaller job. The gauge was a surprise, much heavier gauge just stated as heave gauge (12-14) much better than two big brands gauge (best I could find out was 21 gauge). Wish I would have purchased the marshalltoen first

A great mud bucket for the money. Polished stainless steel finish resists rust and is very easy to clean. The only concern I had with the product was its sharp edges which I rounded off with a file.

Outstanding mud pan at any price. Weight is right: not too heavy to hold for hours on end, but heavy enough to avoid dents and warping. Brazing on seams appears to be very well done.Only little complaint was a slight burr around the edge when it was new — could cause some scrapes or cuts. Ran over it with some sandpaper, though, and it came right off.

What's not to like? This unit is polished stainless steel with beautifully welded seams. No burrs, sits flat, and has a level edge for cleaning the knifes. Great workmanship, and made in the USA too!Before buying this I had one of those plastics mud pans. What a waste, it litterly fell apart, the metal edges came out, rusted, and the plastic (red of all things) chipped out, and ended up on the wall. Plus it was very difficult to clean. This stainless steel pan won't have any of those problems, and will last forever.If you're looking for a mud pan, this is the one to get. Actually almost the same price as that big box store plastic one I bought that only lasted 2 weeks, and never worked right for me.

Bought an old house. The walls were plaster with cracks and there was no insulation in the walls. I replaced all walls with drywall and this piece made the job a lot easier. Been using almost daily since purchasing it. Can't imagine doing this work without it. Quality is great. I'm impressed.

After several home renovation jobs with a plastic mud pan that was a total PITA to clean, I threw this in my cart and decided to give it a try. It's honestly one of the best purchases I made with regards to my drywall tool arsenal. If you're thinking you can save money on a cheaper pan, don't do it! It's stainless steel, so if cared for properly it will not rust. It's polished and perfectly smooth, so it takes 1/3 the time to clean. The top edges are sharp and true, which makes cleaning your mud knives a snap. I no longer get little red plastic bits in my compound when I accidentally scrape the bottom, and can use about every last bit in the pan. Mine was a Made in the USA product and from my opinion of 18 years in the sheetmetal fabrication business, is extremely well made.

Stainless construction is great. Welds are solid and leak-proof. Very comfortable size for when you're taping. A couple issues with the quality of the built though:One corner was obviously damaged during the assembly process, appears to have been hammered on to get it to fit up for the weld. Not a huge deal, but definitely annoying on a brand new tool.The sides are also not as straight as I would like. It works, but if you're using a stiffer stainless knife with it at well, it doesn't conform as well as I'd like it to. Again, not a huge deal, and I understand that heat distortion during welding is an issue.I also want to point out that if you're used to a mud pan with a curved bottom, these square designs are significantly less comfortable. I find that it sits awkwardly in the palm,and puts more pressure on your thumb while you hold it. If you're the kind of guy using this 12hrs day/6 days a week I would probably pass, however the price bracket that it is in makes it a great deal for a homegamer if you're looking for some quality stainless steel and a smaller footprint.

I got some odd looks from my volunteer workmates when I brought this thing out for the first time. But it has two distinct advantages over the plastic ones. The first is it is way easier to clean because it has no nooks and crannies (result of need to support plastic material) and the slick finish is easy to clean. Second thing is that many of the plastic trays are not quite big enough to maneuver a 12" taping knife inside them. This 14" job is plenty big enough for that. I also have a hawk that I could use for bigger knives but the tray sure beats trying to keep mud from running off the edge of the hawk (remember I'm a volunteer not a pro.)Only drawback is added weight of the the tray ... unless you have strong wrists you'll need to hold it in the middle. But hey ... it's drywall work ... is there any part of that work that is not downright exhausting?Bottom line ... I like it. This product was NOT PROVIDED FOR REVIEW ... I bought it outright.

As a renovator i find the 10" mud pan to be a good size and I never fill it with compound completely full anyways because of the weight. Really nice welds, shiny finish and seems very durable.

USA MADE, VERY HIGH QUALITY, WELDS ARE SMOOTH AND CONSISTENT, DURABLE STAINLESS STEEL, EASILY CLEANABLE MUD PAN AND YOU NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS SPACKLE PAN RUSTING. JUST BY HOLDING IT IN YOUR HAND YOU CAN FEEL THE QUALITY AND SEE THAT THIS PAN IS MUCH BETTER QUALITY THEN YOUR AVERAGE LOW COST PAN, A LITTLE EXTRA COST BUT YOU WILL GET YEARS MORE WORK OUT OF IT = SO IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE LITTLE EXTRA COST. VERY HAPPY WITH PURCHASE AND WOULD BUY THIS SAME PAN AGAIN IF THERE IS EVER NEED TO BUY ANOTHER, JUST HOPE A FRIEND OR NEIGHBOR THAT MAY BORROW IT WILL NOT LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO OR I WILL HAVE TO GO OUT OF MY WAY TO FETCH IT FROM THEM AFTER THEY BORROW IT FOR THEIR REPAIR AT THEIR HOME. MAY BUY AN EL-CHEAPO PAN TO HAVE TO LOAN OUT JUST TO KEEP THIS ONE FROM BEING LOANED OUT AT ALL, IT IS THAT NICE.
