4 stars because it has only been on for a short time but works very well. It is a quick simple effective way to run the kicker. I run in fresh water only so don’t need the stainless version. There are numerous options for attaching to the big motor and kicker.

if you have ever leaned over the back of a boat to hook up steering for your kicker and maybe even lost the steering rod into the depths you will immediately see the wisdom and ease of a rod between motors that is on the front side of the motors that can be snapped on in a split second ,,,,, this is my second one and there are few words to describe how much i love them ,,, easily bent and adjusted to be the perfect shape and last forever with a bit of lubrication

The idea is sound but it comes with a flimsy rod. If you are connecting motors that are parallel it will work great. However, it struggles with motors that are on different levels vertically. If the bends need to be significant to go from the main drive engine up to a kicker, the rod is simply not heavy enough and will bend. Great idea though and I will figure out a way to reinforce the rod and make it work. Better than starting from scratch for sure.

price is right!!! really happy with the quality of the product. easy install.attached to a 93,50hsp mercury outboard to a 8hps Johnson workswell, read instructions, you must remove the rod before tilting motor'sor traveling at high speed.

Makes it so much easier. A little fabrication may be necessary to fit your application but most of the parts you need are in the kit.

Just what was needed to tie in the steering of my kicker engine with my main engine. I love the quick attach ends for removal when I want to back troll. Get the stainless steel version if you boat in saltwater.

The product arrived in just a day aor so. There were a couple of different mounting options so I was able to make it fit to steer a 5 hp kicker from a 50 hp. I had to shorten the rod by six inches. I used a jig saw with a metal cutting blade with no problems.

Worked great on my aluminum bass boat using a 70 hp Evinrude & a 5hp Mercury Kicker on an auxillary motor bracket. Installation was very easy and took me about 1/2 hour and I am a perfectionist!

Tied my kicker to my main outboard. Quick install. Super easy to use (the ball disconnects let you remove the rod in literally less than 5 seconds. Steering the kicker motor from the steering wheel is so much more convenient. Great product!

I got this installed on my boat pretty easily but after one season the main rod has rusted. I wonder if I had to something to it but I figured it would be a little more resistant than that. Don't know if I will get the same one or buy something else to solve my auxiliary motor steering.
