I purchased this riser for the greenhouse box in my kitchen. I love that it is low profile, and able to add a little height behind some of my other plants so that the ones in back are easier to reach for watering and easier to see. It looks just as pictured and the main portion is real marble. I did have to attach the legs myself, but they came with little adhesive circles for the task (plus a couple of spares). This was just what I needed and it works perfectly for the intended use.

I am surprised by how beautiful this is in person, it really is. It has such gorgeous veining patterns in the marble and the grey and white blend splendidly. I'm impressed, and if you have read many of my reviews you know it isn't easy to impress me. The top is nicely polished and the bottom is left the natural cut marble. It comes with 3 legs you need to attach yourself using the included double sided adhesive pads, which wasn't really my favorite thing to do, especially since I had a devil of a time getting the 2nd side of the protective layer of the adhesive off. But honestly it wasn't such a big deal that it was worth taking a star off. To be honest, I'm not expecting the adhesive to hold the legs on there for long, double sided adhesive tape rarely has the strength to do that, but even so re-attaching them using the proper glue intended for marble and tile will be easy enough to do. I'm very happy with this piece and the price at the time I got it was more than reasonable. As for my reviews, I am someone who is selective and particular and have no qualms whatsoever leaving an honest review regardless if it is favorable, critical or somewhere in between. Not only am I a newly recruited Vine Reviewer for Amazon, I have been an Amazon customer since 2006 and know the value of an honest review, as does Amazon for they specifically direct its Vine Reviewers to be honest in their assessment of a product because their customers rely on reviews when deciding whether to purchase an item.An additional fact that may be of interest regarding Vine Reviews; Vine items are not free for Reviewers. Vine Reviewers are required to pay both income AND self employment tax to Federal and State on the full market value set by Amazon and submitted to the IRS for all items they review; they are not permitted to claim the sale or discounted prices of 10%, 20% or 50% off customers receive. Moreover, if an item we reviewed quits working, has flaws, is not as described or for whatever reason is unusable, we’re not allowed to return the item like customers are, nor any item for that matter; and what’s more we must still pay the taxes for the item that is no longer of any use. So no, Vine items are not free
