This stand has the same high quality as their famous Manhasset Music stand. The convenient no-knob friction adjustment is easy to use, adjusts on the fly, and works as it should. When playing live, this easy adjustment is great to have when needed. With this stand, the bottom and sides edges are turned up approximately 1 1/2" which works great for keeping your instruments on the table. The 14" x 18" table was just the right size for me. The included table top padding is a piece of carpet, and Manhasset provides 2 pieces of 2" Velcro to hold the carpet in place. I sit while I play congas/percussion, this stand at its lowest setting is approximately 34-36" in height. Lastly, it's price range is a good deal for a quality percussion stand.

I actually bought this for multiple uses in my work studio. One thing it's worked great for is a place to set my laptop for use during online sessions with a sound trap and mic behind it. It's a great addition to any professional teaching studio.
