There is a lot to like about these skates! The design, first of all, is absolutely over-the-top adorable for the princess type. They're 100% girl-power skates. They're feminine and proud of it. The hologrpahic bits are really beautiful. The wheels light up for an extra pop of fun, so design-wise these are super cute!The adjustability is fantastic. We all know what it's like to buy something nice only for it to be outgrown before it's used up. These are super easy to adjust. You just push a button, pull the toe and heel apart, and let it lock. That's it! They're a lot better than the first-gen adjustable skates we saw in the 90s.The wheels are ideal for an indoor rink. They're soft and grippy. Probably a little too soft for outdoor applications where I suspect a concrete or blacktop surface would chew them up. That's not a criticism - just important to buy the skates for the surface you intend to use.The heel stop is textured for indoor use too in my opinion. If you're looking for rink-friendly skates, these are awesome. And it's super easy to switch out wheels and heel stops if you want harder wheels for more textured outdoor surfaces.In this price range there is a lot of competition, and there are features that I might have liked to see improve a little. Probably the only one worth a mention is that the top buckle isn't as robust as I would like - it's plastic pieces and doesn't ratchet down as tightly as I might prefer, but they haven't broken yet, so maybe they're stronger than they look. But if you're looking for over-the-top adorable, girly, adjustable skates for someone who loves a very feminine aesthetic, these do that well.
