Put in boat distributor.no spark,had correct hookup,it just didn’t work.

Good product, easy and quick install without removing the distributor! No need to worry about points/condensers anymore. Be sure to limit voltage to distributor as you have prior to conversion as the sensor can burn out like points do if voltage is unchecked. Read installation instructions and use ballast resistor or resistor wire as you have before.

Not gonna give it 5 stars. No optical triggered ignition is worth that. But, it does eliminate the troublesome Mallory dual points which worth the trade off. Unbelievable how quick the motor fires up now. From stone cold, it lights on the first try. Has never done that.

I fought with Mallory over the lack of performance and unreliability of their dual point distributor for FE Ford. They send me replacement points, but I could never get it to run right.Upgraded to the E-Spark conversion and wow, what a difference!
