Was looking for an inexpensive battery powered blower for my 2 car garage/shop to replace my small corded blower. I have several Makita 18V tools and batteries, so this seemed a natural. Since i have a gas powered backpack blower I didn't need anything real powerful, just something to blow off the bench and shop floor. Makita has several other more expensive options but again, didn't need much. I am very impressed with the poser this has. more than enough to blowout the garage/shop. is even strong enough to blow off the driveway! I see that you can get a longer attachment to get the air flow closer to the ground but don't think its needed for what I use it for. It has a soft rubber nozzle like my corded one so its also perfect for blowing off the Harley after a wash. Very easy to maneuver and can direct the air into hard to reach places with no danger of scratching or denting anything. The variable speed is nice too when you dont need tornado power ....... NOW the little shortcomings:It's too easy to move the 3 position switch to a lower setting accidentally, reducing power. No trigger lock so you have to constantly hold it on. Finger fatigue. Spoiled because my corded one can lock on.It doesn't stand up on its own with or without the battery attached. Really?!?!The included literature is all in Chinese. Even the box looks like it's intended for a foreign market. Should I be worried??So far so good!

I have bought it for the garden. It works, especially for sweeping the path and porch, but my garden is too large, and I bought the larger variety. I would recommend it for smaller garden like townhouse. And of course, this devise is excellent for the woodworking.I must notice that the battery works much longer than I expected!

This Makita blower surprised me. Inexpensive, compact and light weight, it works well, considering its size. I am mobility impaired and it is perfect for keeping the sidewalks and driveways clear of leaves, pine straw and dirt. A good purchase.

Works for smaller jobs. Not like blowing your driveway off. Easy to use. Love it

I also own the 36V Makita blower and I use this small one more often. No, there is no real power comparison between them but the small one is powerful enough for most jobs. It is far lighter and quieter and believe it or not, most of the time, it feels more accurate. This is especially true indoors and around my truck and RV. It probably won’t blow the leaves on your lawn that well but cleaning off the porch is doable. The picture shows the difference in sizes.

Be ready to buy a new battery! We have an 18V LXT Makita vacuum and were excited to getthe 18V LXT battery powered cordless blower. But our old battery does not fit?! The battery tray is exactly the same except for small additional connector on the blower that prevents our 18V LXT battery from being accepted. Now if I buy a new battery, would it fit in my charger? I do not know that. Be ready to buy a new charger too. I am returning this. I am not interested in having different batteries and different chargers for every product.

You want a quick and simple review of a great product?Overview:I use this ALL THE TIME to clean my garage floor, clean my shelves in the garage from all the sawdust after a project, I blow out the dust from inside my vehicles, I blow the floors inside my house on low power to move the dust from the corners and stairs, and I use it on the patio and porch to move some leaves and dirt that accumulate. Its ideal for small to medium jobs if you don't need a ton of power or the need to move lots of material.PROS:1. Light and compact2. Powerful for the size3. Multiple power settings (3)4. Useful inside and out of house (I use it for my car)5. Compatible with most other Makita batteries6. Easy to store7. Removeable nozzleCONS:I don't have anything negative to say about this. Conclusion:I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight blower for household garage, porch, floors, or minor leaf blowing. If you have lots of leaves and heavier material you want to move you should buy a higher power dual battery version.
