I bought this in the 5/64 size that I need now. It works fine, and it seems to be made well enough -- time will tell. Snappy tools seems like an honest company.I also got one of the ridiculously cheap sets with a similar appearance, in order to have more sizes for my tool box, and they are amazingly pure ripoff junk -- most wobble badly and are unusable, some are frozen and are unusable, virtually all rub and want to drag the cylinders when they rotate, all are poorly made, will waste space in your tool box and will not be there when you need them. Amazon should weed the cheap items and their sellers from its site, so the honest ones can serve customers. Ok, rant finished.

I've been installing small brass hinges on wooden boxes. These hinges made by Brusso and Highpoint for example, typically use #3 or #4 size brass wood screws for installation. It's really important to pre-drill hardwood for installation of these screws as it is very easy to break them during installation. I already had the Vix brand bits for larger screws, but needed a new self-centering drill but for these very small screws. This Snappy Tools brand arrived quickly and works just fine. It works just like my older Vix bits and came at a good price. To me, this is just a necessary tool for hinge installation.

This is one of those tools that you say to yourself 'I should have bought one of these years ago'. It makes installing continuous hinges sooooo much easier. I had 2 12", 3 24" and one 36" continuous hinge to install. Centering to holes has always been a pain. Not with this tool the process is so much faster. I had zero issues with this bit. Worked like a charm!

Do not even waste your money on the lower priced knockoffs, they have misaligned holes, cheap drill bits that break, and the spring tension is utterly ridiculous.. Snappy Tools is American Made with perfectly aligned holes, superior craftsmanship and durability, spring tension is outstanding, and the drill bits are real HSS Steel and super strong and sharp!! From now on Snappy Tools is the brand for a self centering Drill Bit I will ever consider, I highly doubt I will have to replace the ones I've purchased due to their superior build quality.. Snappy Tools is without a shadow of a doubt worth the extra money, if you want the job done perfectly the first time..

I used this as a guide for a bolt extractor pilot on a sheered bolt in a cylinder head in a tight spot where I was unsure if I was drilling into the center of the bolt . It was a perfect size guide sleeve for the project

The 5/64 bits break easily. Over $10 for 2 on amazon, rediculous . I am a professional cabinet maker and do not abuse my tools.
