The product description provides quite a few measurement details except for those I actually need to determine whether it will fit my mailbox. First, what's the separation between the screws? The screw size would help, but I can drill out my holes if necessary. Also, what's the distance from the front hole on top to the front of the door? Similarly, what's the distance from the top hole on the door to the top of the mailbox? Just from looking at the pictures, I'm pretty sure that the holes on top of my mailbox are spaced too far apart.

I should have listen to the other reviews. It's not a normal size mailbox handle. The handle is very small. The screws are way too little and the metal part that goes on the top of the mailbox wasn't even long enough to reach the end of the mailbox for the handle to latch on. Don't waste your money on this handle! It's not made for a normal size mailbox.

Overall the parts in this kit are terrible quality. The pre-drilled holes are far off center on both pieces, one of the pieces is stamped crooked (the left piece in my photo), and the metal is thin and bends easily. After installing both pieces, I easily bent the finger loop piece when opening the mailbox door.Since a couple dimensions aren't given in the product description, the two pieces are 7/16 inch wide and 1/16 inch thick.

This latch kit is useful and functional for its intended purpose . It's construction is flimsy and the packaging is inadequate as it failed and arrived missing 80% of the fastening hardware. It was easy to install and configure to my damaged rural mailbox.
