Great quality as expected from Magpul, keep in mind this is MOE, and not MLOK

The rail arrived on time. I gave it only 3 stars because it did not fit on the standard round fore grip on my ar. At the bottom and top of the grip, there are two little round groves on either side of the vent holes. The base of the rail section is a little wider and will not fit between the groves. I started to shave the sides of the rail but I found it easer to shave the round edge off the guard. I am very mechanical and I do have the proper grinder for this. If you are a regular person and do not want to play around with fitting this rail, don't buy this product.I did read about this fit problem in the list of comments, so it didn't bother me to shave off the sides and hand guard. I expected that with the name brand of Magpul, I expected a better product. Since I made it fit, the rail works now, so I can live with it but I would not buy this product again.

This is a nice inexpensive rail that I used to mount a bipod on my Benjamin .22 cal air rifle. Everything I looked at before stumbling across this was of the "key mod" variety, the kind that are attached to the slots on the hand guards on the various AR type platforms. This is flat on the back side and sits flush on the bottom of the polymer stock of my rifle. I simply centered it and positioned it where I wanted it, drilled two holes through the stock using this rail as a guide (I taped the rail to the stock to keep it in place). I then attached it with one of the two screws and nuts provided. I say one of the two because the second hole was through a thicker part of the stock and the provided screw simply wasn't long enough. No problem. I went to my local Lowe's and picked up some black chrome plated 10-24x3/4 inch screws and attached it with a stainless locking nut. I won't take a star off for that because the manufacturer has no way of knowing what the customer will be attaching this to. At first I wanted an aluminum rail but settled for this polymer type and I'm very pleased. The polymer is stiff, light and feels very strong...I can't bend it at all. Plus it's made in the USA.

I recently got a YHM 20" upper for my AR which has a custom rifle-length handguard that is basically a solid aluminum tube so I couldn't easily swap it out for a quad rail handguard. So, I got this rail, drilled and tapped two holes on the bottom of the handguard and it works perfectly.I use this rail to attach a bipod, not just a flashlight or sight so it undergoes a reasonable amount of stress when firing my rifle. After a few hundred rounds there are no signs of any stress related damage. It is made of plastic, but it's quite robust. I actually like the plastic because it doesn't chip and is light.I like that the ends of the rail are rounded so they are far less likely to catch and/or mar something (like my hands). For those that want to drill and mount this rail to something here are the relevant measurements:Hole spacing: 40mm (the picatinny rail spacing is in metric, and the holes are 4 slots apart, but the screws are English thread)Screw thread: 10-24It does come with two small threaded mounting mounting plates if you don't want to bother with treading holes and just want to drill through holes.

Not much needs to be said. This is a L3 rail section that I used on my Magpul edition SigSauer AR15. I'm not a Magpul fanboy like many others, and only purchased this because I /had/ to use a Magpul section on the Magpul barrel shroud (the shoulder thingy that goes up???).That said, it does the job well and went on very easily. I use it to attach my foregrip to my AR and it serves its purpose at a very decent price point. Solid materials and worksmanship, and it feels good to support a product made in the USA.

There isn't much to say about this simple piece of equipment... The bottom line is that it works! I usually put quad rails on my M4's/AR's, but I recently built a "cheap and lightweight" AR using an ATI omni polymer lower and a pencil barrel PSA mid-length upper. I decided that putting a heavy aluminum quad rail on it would defeat the purpose, so I bought the MOE handguard knowing I could add things if and when I wanted. Long story short, the "lightweight" changed to "average weight" in the end. I mounted an MVG (which is awesome and sturdy) and a bipod via this L3 rail section. It is shockingly sturdy and the handguards are holding up very well. Believe it or not, the omni receiver is running like a champ, too(noting, however, that I bought it pre-assembled). In the end, I highly recommend using these rail sections for mounting all your favorite toys to MOE handguards. They are strong and built to last. I also have a rail section on my Remington 870 magpul pump, and it has a streamlight polytac attached to it. Works flawlessly. Magpul makes good stuff at reasonable prices.

While I wouldn't recommend putting a laser or sights on MOE hand guards - they flex slightly since they're polymer - this is nonetheless a great rail upgrade for your MOE hand guard and mounting platform for most accessories. Unlike other rails, this rail is not uncomfortable or bulky. All the edges are round and wont poke into your hand, so you wont need any rail covers. If you ever decide you don't a particular rail, you can take it back off, unlike a quad rail. It's cheap and it's simple. Installation took me less than 2 minutes. This particular one will take up two slots on your MOE. The one larger will take three and the one smaller will only take one. If you have a flashlight mount and you don't need extra space on the rail, you can get the smaller version and have a more streamlined look. With all of this said, I give this five stars because there's simply no other system anyone offers this cheap that performs so well regardless of the fact that it wouldn't be a good sight or laser mounting platform.
