2 star board I would just save your money and buy something in the 200$ range . Board doesn’t have any bounce very stiff. Also the risers are way too high

Perfect for me. I absolutely love it. Took a minute to get used to how long it was but that's what I wanted. Extremely happy with my purchase. My boys both want one now. So I may be ordering more in the near future.

Got this board in a couple days ago (Retro Surf kicktail longboard).Isn't my first longboard, and I have been skating for most of my life. Recently transitioning to longboarding to give my knees a break after decades of street skating off drops, staircases, etc.I had read other reviews about the bearings being lackluster. Let me say, that was absolutely not the case.My first outing, I was probably pushing about 25mph on flatground, got chased by a dog, caught my foot on a wheel, slammed and rolled twice.Laughing as I got up (and relieved the dog was on a long chain), I pulled over to a church parking lot and began cruising around. The utter smoothness of these wheels is unreal, and I was able to carve around in the way I intended when the board was ordered. Every longboard is different, so it will take me some time to get used to the concave and nose/tail balance points. However, I did manage to get some decent nose manuals and manuals in.Two takeaways from this experience: if you're noticing the wheels aren't fast enough, loosen the nut SLIGHTLY on them. Also, I had to tighten the trucks up a little. This should be standard for anyone who's been skating for a while. But, if you are a beginner: Be very careful when learning to ride. Even people who've been skating for years like myself underestimate having wheels sticking out of the side of longboards. Your foot hits one of them, at the speeds this board can go, and you're gonna need to tuck and roll. For a beginner, I'd recommend bringing this thing to a skate shop and asking for some lower-ABEC bearings - they should be able to pop them in for you.Overall, despite my laughable, Looney Tunes-esque user error, I'm very pleased, if not somewhat intimidated by this board - mostly due to how I plan on using it. I'm envisioning some excellent afternoons in scenic scenarios cruising along some wide, vast spaces, such as a beach boardwalk or the like. But where I live, in the mountains, I'm going to need to be on my guard!
Big deal I'm looking
