The Ember cup holds the temperature at 144 degrees whether or not I use the lid. I would not recommend.

It fits well without any leaks. It definitely keeps the coffee warm for a longer time than the mug would without the lid on. Its a little hard to get off, but that might be the tradeoff for no leaks.

It's a simple thing, but really well made. The fit is perfect on my 14 oz ember. The sliding magnetic sip cover can be popped off to clean under (don't lose it) and the rubber o-ring is the perfect fit to the lid and cup. It seemed kind of expensive for what it is until I got it and used it. It's well worth the price.

I timed how long my coffee would be hot with the lid on and NOT on the charger. And it kept my coffee hot for 5 hrs! Ember 2I was in awe 🫢
