This is amazing and the magnet is strong. Only downside is is that the opening is almost too large for a single house key. Wish there was something to secure the key into.

I got this item to use as a hide-a-key for my home. I have an unsecured outdoor shed and this magnetic lockbox allowed me to securely store a spare house key inside the shed. It was easy to set a custom pin code, and I've had no issues with this lockbox. I haven't tested out the car key and faraday bag, but the magnet does feel strong enough to adhere itself to a moving vehicle, though I think it would be mostly used to store your key on a hike or surf trip, when you don't want to risk losing your car key to the wilderness.

When you have a daughter that keeps locking her keys in her car this is a must. It has a strong magnet making you feel secure that it will stay where placed, being able to set your own code is a nice feature. Well worth the money!

I purchased this to hide a house key, not on my car. It's perfect as a magnetic "lock box." The combination is easy to set - and change if needed. The box opens and closes easily and seems to be made of durable plastic. I don't know how road dirt might affect the 4 number dials, but would highly recommend putting this device under a car temporarily, as opposed to driving around with it permanently. That said, the magnet is definitely strong - wonder if its proximity might affect a key fob? This is a great item for a home lock box key, in lieu of the fake rock or under the doormat. It's weatherproof, and the additional bags provided add a level of comfort that your key will be protected from corrosion.

We got this to hide a spare house key in (we have steel siding). We are not concerned with someone breaking into the box as it is going to be impossible to find the box in the first place. Yes, I can see that it might be easy to smash it open, but it will take some time to do so and would be kinda noticeable to security cameras. As long as you are hiding this box, I do not think the fact it is plastic would be a big deterrent. Although that leads to the question of whether or not you need it combination locked if you are hiding it anyways. The size is good for us and it feels sturdy enough to last quite a while.

The magnet is remarkably strong, which isn't really necessary unless you're going to attach this to something that moves, or at the very least is jostled violently. The body is made of plastic, so if you're looking for any real security, you won't find it. I certainly didn't ruin mine to find out how easy it would be, but I can guarantee you a determined person could find several ways to break into it. Or just break it. That being said, it can provide a sense of temporary security if it is hidden I suppose.
