Small size AM/FM digital radio alarm clock. The time is easy to see in the dark while sleeping/awakening. Of course it met my expectations as it is a replacement of the same product I had purchased from Amazon several years ago. It hadn't changed any that I noticed.

Cute little clock that fits in the palm of your hand. The green numbers are easy on the eyes and easy to read against the black front display. Programming it requires you to read the manual thoroughly as some buttons have two or more functions, depending on how long they are pressed. The alarm buzzer is a bit on the quiet side, but if you set the alarm to wake on radio you will have no problem hearing the radio! The unit requires 2 AA batteries to preserve the time and your settings in the event of a power failure. The only thing I don't like about this unit is if you have the alarm set and there is a power failure that occurs before and lasts through your alarm time, you will be late! The unit will not wake you without power when the alarm time occurs, nor will the unit wake you when power is restored! I highly recommend setting a back up clock, or a cell phone. There is also no low battery indicator to tell you when to replace the back up batteries. All in all its a decent clock radio. We're using it in a spare guest room so we're not too concerned about it not being able to wake you during a power outage.

I bought this for my desk at work because I wanted something with a radio. The antennae wire works okay, and it does the job. I can't speak for the alarm feature because where I work I'd scare the pants off someone if I had an alarm clock randomly go off, but the display is nice and bright. It keeps time wonderfully (even after a year of having it), and it's small enough that it doesn't take up a lot of space. Perfect if you have a cluttered nightstand. My only issue that the time can be a pain to set because of the buttons being tough.

I read the reviews before buying this, so I had some concerns about setting it up. After magnifying the buttons in the picture, I figured it couldn't be that hard and it wasn't. Here are a list of pros and cons as I see them:Pros:Easy to set up - once I read the instructions, I had no problems setting this up.Two alarms - if you need one for you and one for someone else or just need to be up at different times during the week, then having two alarms is nice. The alarms can be set for buzzer or radio. When the alarm goes off, it's quiet at first, but gets louder the more you ignore it.Compact - this is smaller than I expected, which is nice.Easy to read - large digital display is easily read in the middle of the night from the farther side of the bed.Three brightness settings from dim to medium to bright - I have it on the middle setting. Tried the highest setting, but it nearly lit up the area around the clock.Sound quality for the radio is better than I expected - I've had little clock radios before that made me want to throw them against the wall the sound was so bad, but this one is quite pleasant.Large easy to find snooze button - I don't use that often, but it's nice to find it easily for the times I do.Twenty station pre-sets - ten for am and ten for fm radio.Cons:Buttons serve multiple functions, so you do need to be aware of what's what when setting up and using. To set the alarms or turn alarms on or off, you have to hold down the appropriate button till the alarm time flashes, then proceed to set the time or cycle through to which alarm signal you want or to turn it off.If you set up the radio station presets, you have to cycle through each one till you get what you want. You can't just decide you want the station at preset five and go straight there, unless it's on your fourth preset. All in all, a nice little radio alarm clock for the price. I would add that the display is more of a yellow green, than a true green, but it's still better than a red display in my opinion.

This clock was a disappointment. First, it is too cumbersome to set the time or alarm. There is no way to reverse the time so if you go too far, you can't back up. Second, arming or disarming the alarm is too cumbersome. My old clock radio required flipping a switch. This requires putting the alarm in set mode, then scrolling through options of ON, RADIO or OFF, something I'm not inclined toward in the early morning brain fog. I just want to turn it off. Lastly, the alarm is a very high pitched squeal that I can barely hear. That isn't the fault of the clock, but anyone with hearing loss in higher frequencies will struggle with it. It should be in a more "normal" mid range. So simply just doesn't meet my expectations and other than the cumbersome alarm on/off function which is NOT user friendly, the clock overall would be fine for some I suppose.I was very careful with packaging in case it wouldn't work but then I tried to return, I was going to be charged a $5.99 return fee! On a $15 item? Right. This was the real disappointment so I'm not trying to slam the product, just providing information to help others that may be looking for something easier to use but personally very disappointed overall, especially with the return shipping that is obviously built in to discourage returns of a sub standard product. Order at your own risk.

Like a number of others, I had an old clock/radio that I had been using for many years. It’s the kind of device that requires no maintenance (except maybe to remember to change the battery), and so tends to last a long time, if treated well. Unfortunately, during some dusting and cleaning, the old clock/radio fell to the floor. It wasn’t the same after that. A new unit was in order, so I went to Amazon, typed in “clock radio” and searched the results for “price: low to high”. The Magnasonic wasn’t the cheapest, but it had over 1000 reviews and a 3 star rating. I wasn’t looking for something great or impressive. All I wanted was a bare-bones clock radio that would clearly show me the time and have the ability to play both AM and FM stations. This unit does all that. After using it for a bit, here are my impressions:+it is a bright, easy to read, digital clock+Both the clock and the radio employ simple functionality-The unit is smaller than I had expectedI read a popular review of this unit that claimed there was no instruction manual. I don’t know if things have changed since that review was written, but mine came with instructions. I wouldn’t call it a manual. It consists of one page, double-sided, one side in English the other side in French. So, it is nothing elaborate, but it does cover all the functions. I had no trouble in setting the time, an alarm, and some radio stations. All in all, if you’re looking for a basic clock radio, at a very reasonable cost, I’d recommend the Magnasonic unit.
