The description needs more information. This catalytic converter is not universal and will not pass smog in California. Make sure to check the serial number and reference what vehicle they are for before you weld them in.

It fit and passed smog emissions but failed due to C.A.R.B. had rescinded this catalytic certs for California so it failed visual.

I had purchase an after market full exhaust that has a 2.5' diameter. This fit perfectly but also needed to be cut and welded together by a local muffler shop for about $160. Although CA compliant its a category T-2 catalytic converter for Trucks only, this setup will not be smog legal for my tiny civic. I didn't know this until after the fact, it left me no choice but to register with Washington plates for me next registration. Hope my experience helps anyone else going through the same ordeal.

False advertising. I bought this because it is listed as California compliant. Took my vehicle in for smog after getting this installed and failed visual inspection. Went to two smog shops to be sure and they both failed me. Icing on the cake is that install and smog took a month, so now the return window closed.

Worked great to pass CA smog on a previously failing 1990 F150 4.9 straight 6. My truck had 2 cats and this replaced the back one. This is the real deal and is legal in California, has the correct EO number, and worked. And for an extremely fair price. A couple years ago finding CA legal cats was a difficult task and were pricey when you did. I am happy to see this product line. Also, if you are having trouble passing smog, research denaturated alcohol for smog, it might help as well.
