I’m an adult and I was amused. I bought it for a 4 year old, but I kept wanting to play with it. A little kid will need adult help to get through all the steps.

I ordered this product on a Black Friday deal for my daughter’s 7th birthday and it was a big hit! It was a really great price and was so magical and fun to watch the mystical smoke coming out during certain parts of the spell. An absolute hit for any child and definitely recommend!

My daughters both have one. They love how it functions. They’ve had their lamps for 5 months and play with them weekly and it still works great. It has a pretty decent battery life. It is quite loud so if you need for it to be quiet make sure the kids aren’t right next to you lol the smell is quite strong. It is probably the one and only thing I do not appreciate about the toy. I have an air purifier and when the “potion” comes out of the spout in the form of vapor, it makes the air quality on my purifier turn red which is a little concerning. So if you let your little one play with it make sure it is in an open space with a window open. Other than that it was worth the value.

My5 year old daughter loved it. She uses it all the time. She memorized the steps after a few times of helping her with it. The smell of the smoke is a little gross so definitely do it in an open area or a room with a lot of ventilation. Over all loved bonding with my daughter and learning the steps with her.

These products never cease to amaze me! They are so cool. Easy to operate, and you literally see the Mixie appear right before your eyes. It's not only fun for my little girls, but is also something a mom or dad wouldn't mind doing with their kiddos. These are my favorite thing to purchase my little ones as they are so amazed when their Mixie is created.

The Genie lamp looks very cool but has too many steps to get it open and the Magic Mixie to pop out. The Mixie is not easily put back in the lamp either. This should be good for OVER age 8.

This was number one on my daughter's Christmas list. She was so excited to add this to her mixie collection. The whole process of releasing the genie is so cute. The cauldron was previously our favorite but I think this one beats it (a lot less messier too) the mixie that comes out is interactive and repeats its name. I think this is the best one yet. She's been playing with it non stop since Christmas and we.still havent had to reuse the smoke. If I had to choose between this one, the cauldron and the crystal ball, this one takes the cake
