I gave out 4 of these to the children that attended our Christmas Eve dessert. All 4 of them ooo'd and Awwwed over the "fluid" colors. The outside was designed for a traveler and made the kids feel like explorers. They loved them. They are made of hard-ish cardboard and there are many colors. I think the sturdiness depends on the age and grace of the children (or adults, who can also enjoy this simple old-time toy). S0 much fun!

Lightweight with a nice design on the outside. Inside is so colorful and works great. Has a telescoping feature to change the patterns in side. Made perfect stocking staffers. Could be fun party gifts.

We have purchased these for a number of years to include in the Older Girl Operation Christmas Child boxes. Sometimes it is difficult to know what a young teenage girl in a foreign land might want. These look nice on the outside and seem sturdy. I know that I really loved the Kaleidescope I received when I was a young lady.

I like the quality of this product and the beautiful designs and it works very well and is sturdy. I just don't understand why the viewing lens is such an odd shape and so small. It makes viewing the beautiful designs limited and difficult. I think the lens should be round and a little larger. Although my 68 year old eyes aren't what they used to be. Maybe kids would be okay with it since their eyes are young. 🤷♀️

The kaleidoscopes were a hit at Christmas. One couldn't figure out what it was, one figured it out immediately (and kept playing with it) and the other two liked theirs. For the money I am happy with the quality; I think it is made of some kind of thick, sturdy cardboard. You shouldn't damage it if you aren't trying to. I put two up to my eyes before wrapping them and it was trippy. If you have seen stained glass art in a giant church window then it will remind you of this kaleidoscope.
