This diaper pail is constructed of very sturdy plastic. It has a unique and clever design to trap any odors in the can. The lid is easy to screw off and on, and comes with clear instructions on how to put in the trash bag. You can use any 20-30 liter sized trash bag, which is a benefit in my opinion. The bag stays securely in place until removal. How it works: The top of the diaper pail has a handle that slides from one side of the can to the other, which in turn opens and closes the interior diaper hopper. One side of the hopper is convex, which when in the down position makes contact with the trash liner ring to form a seal so odors are prevented from oozing out. On the opposite side of the hopper is an indented compartment where you place the diaper when disposing of it. After placing the diaper in said compartment, you simply pull the handle from one side of the pail to the other, which rotates the hopper and dumps the diaper into the trash can below. Then you complete the disposal by again lifting and rotating the handle back to the original position on the other side of the diaper pail. This makes sure the convex portion is in the proper position to block the odors. When it comes time to change the trash bag, the lid simply screws off very easily revealing the trash liner. You then unscrew and remove another ring to easily remove the bag. Replace the ring, insert new bag then screw the top back on. Simple and easy to do. The best part of this design is that a child cannot access the trash compartment unless you have unscrewed and removed the top portion of the pail. At this time in use, there is no odor which comes from the can when the lid is not in use. Unless the plastic absorbs odors over time and results in an odor problem, this pail is effective at keeping the odor contained.

This is a great little diaper pail. There are some really great things about this particular pail. The best thing to me is not having to purchase diaper pail refill bags. They are expensive and annoying. I love that u can use any trash bag with these. They include a huge roll of them anyways for you to get started with. That's great. Second best thing is the lock in odor control design. I've only been using this for 2 days but I have to say that I do not smell any poopy diapers coming from the pail. That has not been the case with every other pail that I've used. The last thing I thought was worth mentioning is that it can be used as a trash can when your baby is potty trained and the diaper pail is no longer needed. That's a great plus in my opinion. Nothing goes to waste and u don't have to wonder what you're supposed to do with this diaper pail now! It is pricey compared to some but it's well worth the investment since there's so many pros and you can use it after the diaper stage. Recommend for sure!

I like this pail. There are many PROS:- takes up a small amount of space- my 19 month old has not figured out how to or been able to turn the lid to access the trash inside. We have both the signature and the basic version of the most major brand diaper pail and he has been able to easily break into both of those. I love how the lid on this pail turns and clicks in easily, but, due to the size and shape of the lid, a baby’s hands can’t easily open it. (EDIT: unfortunately, after three days of use, my son has been able to break into it one time. To avoid this, make sure that the lid is locked 100%)- it works like a mailbox where there is an intermediate space that you place trash into and then do an extra step to dump the trash inside the receptacle. This is easier to do than with the major brand. No need to use a step to open a lid (signature) or deal with a lid latch that broke immediately (basic). No need to push through the tongue with a dirty diaper, it’s just an easy flip of the handle and flip back.- has easy to use carry handle that you can trust will keep the lid secure while you move the pail due to the clockwise locking lid design- looks cute, also looks like a regular trash can so it can grow with you- can also be used as a food waste pail- much better at preventing odor than other pails- can use any bag (kind of)- comes with its own permanent bag ring that locks in easily- bag doesn’t get dislodged from the bag ring easily- instructions clear and simple- comes with a roll of branded bags- you can separately purchase a different lid if you want to use it as a regular trash can- you don’t have to touch waste that got onto the bag roll from a previous use like with major brand diaper pailsCONS:- there has to be weight to the trash that you put in the intermediate space or else it will not fall into the trash receptacle below. A barely used diaper won’t fall below.- there could be better way to secure the bag to the bag ring although this way is pretty good and prevents you from having it work hard to get it off the ring when ready to change bag and dispose- small receptacle that doesn’t actually fit kitchen sized trash bags. You can fold the kitchen size bag half down when you push it into the bag ring but you end up wasting like a third of the capacity of the kitchen sized bag- it says it holds 25 diapers but I am skeptical. The trash receptacle is small. I’ll update how frequently I have to change the bags
