Owned for about 3 months now. Love this rack, have seen other similar brands in person and compared to this, other racks are always flimsier and less “solid”. Great rack, rigid and keeps firm. Would buy again or for gifts for friends.

Roommate is apprehensive over it. (He doesn’t like change). It’s used in pro tournaments how could it not be awesome! I like the ease of use, provides a tight rack, you get three racks for the price of one cheap rack. Only drawback is if you’re not careful you can crease the thin plastic. Overall, I would buy it again. Used it nonstop for my games.

All of the reviews stating that it creates consistent tight racks are correct. All reviews stating once you get used to it, it's actually faster than a traditional triangle rack are correct. So why is it only great 99% of the time? There are actually 2 issues. The first issue: Depending on how the break goes, it can occasionally be difficult to lift the rack off of the table without disturbing the balls. Sometimes it's downright impossible if there is a ball sitting on it. This honestly doesn't happen often, but it's annoying when it does. If then happens you just have to leave the "rack" on the table until the balls move sufficiently via regular game play to remove the rack. This brings us to the second issue. The second issue: If you have to play with the rack on the table, it can actually interfere with slow rolling balls - knocking them off trajectory. This is rare because it requires both the rack to remain on the table after the break, which doesn't happen a lot, and for the movement to be affected, the balls must be just barely moving.Overall, I love this product and use it every time I play, even with it's inherent shortcomings. The combination of the frustration free, consistent tight rack and speed of racking are a happily made trade off for the very occasional issue.

I've used these at my usual hall, and kept swearing to my buddies that I'd buy my own soon. Well, I finally did. There are several advantages to using this rack.First of all, it makes perfect ball to ball contact every rack, regardless of how humid hot/cold the room is (like wooden racks so easily do). It's super low profile doesn't effect the path of travel on the break, or even if you have to shoot a few balls off of it before picking it up off the table. And finally, going back to my first point I suppose, is that I can finally REALLY work on my break! It's the one variable that I can control, and that's enough to vary other parts of my break (like angle, english, power, etc.), and improve the control I have for different games or rack arrangements.I just love this thing for being able to work on that part of my game.However...The one $#!+ part that I cannot leave out is that it's a real pain in the ass to carry around in 8x10 plastic bag.If you roll this thing up, it will warp. It you fold it, it will crease. And both of these things WILL detract from the overall performance. Then again, it's a small price to pay to be able to have the consistency of perfect racks every time.I keep mine in in the visor of my 4Runner, so I don't damage it.So far, none of my pals have found a good way to carry/store it, but ALL of us agree that it's well worth just buying another one if it warps or gets creased.Final advice:If you are a serious player, or even someone looking to improve your game, BUY THIS! You WILL notice a difference as soon as you use it!

Immediately upon ordering, I received notification of shipping, and the product showed up at my door in a timely fashion. It made it's trip without incident, and was in good condition upon arrival. I tried it right away, and it definitely works. The wooden triangle and 9 ball racks that I was using, really don't rack the balls tightly together at all.The balls would roll apart as soon as I picked the rack off the table. And the center dot sticker, wasn't helping matters. These Magic Ball racks hold the balls precisely where they need to be, so that they are touching each other when your cue ball makes contact during the break. The dot sticker at the head string, is no longer an issue. This thin little shape sits on top of the dot and helps you align the rack properly. After using these a few times, I can rack more quickly than I could before. Most times, you can pick the thin rack off the table immediately after the break because the balls are out of the way. At other times, you can usually remove it after the second player takes their shot. The 9 ball in the center hasn't moved much during the break. It's a very tight rack. My husband was sinking two balls on the break last night though. This was new. I highly recommend this item. It's 2 items actually. It's a good value too.

It simple works...we are making more balls off the break now and I have not had any problems with removing it if a ball is in or around it. You got to give this thing a try. My son and I have played about 20 games now using this rack and it is far superior to the rack that I got in my pool table set or any of those expensive metal racks. This is the same rack that is used in major 9 ball tournaments now. I mean it is a perfect rack every single time. So happy with this purchase, my only concern if any is with the durability, and how long will it last. It is very thin, but for right now this is Awesome!!PS: We do not play with this on the table after the break. First, really why would anyone think that was ok, and second it takes less than a second to pick it up and sit it to the side. While doing my research watching some tournaments online I saw them remove it immediately after the break every single game, so that is what we have been doing, and it has been working great. Really happy with this purchase!!
