98 Custom Basic - Durable all aluminum die cast receiver and matte black finish that will resist impact and wear. Stainless steel gas line won't rust or break. Reliable quick release feeder elbow for easier cleaning and maintenance. A newly designed power tube and proven inline bolt system ensures consistent performance. Modifiable split receiver makes it easier to install accessories and upgrades.

98 Custom ACT (Anti-Chop Technology) - All the features as above and more! ACT (Anti-Chop Technology) Helps eliminate ball chopping and ensure consistent performance. Using a new technology that has the front and rear bolt working independently of each other, ACT virtually eliminates ball chopping and improves ball accuracy with less barrel cleaning. Unlike other anti chop systems, this system maintains ball velocity shot after shot and does not have to be re-cocked if the anti chop technology had to be engaged.

Wanted to get back into the sport with my son and the Tippmann 98 was my old stand by back in the day. Guess what? It is still a great marker with only improvements in the last 20 years. This is a great model for people looking for a reliable, easy to use, and simple to underatand marker. It will always have a spot in my heart.

Exelent starter package. Tons of upgrades. Tresspassers hate it since I shoot rubber balls instead of paint.
