Ok, so I had a small, cheap light ring that has done a reasonable job of helping with lighting for my photos. I’m not a professional but I do like taking pictures of my pets mostly. I take pictures with my phone and/or my Cannon Mark II and lighting is always an issue. This light has several options that my previous light simply did not have. Number one is the stand is much better quality, easy height adjustment, and I love that it’s on wheels. That makes it so much easier to move around and adjust to exactly where I need it. Oh, and it has a tray/table that helps me keep up with my things like remote, lens cap, or just whatever. It does have multiple lighting options too. I can choose the warmth and brightness. There’s a display to show what color and how bright the light is. I wasn’t really interested in that when I ordered it, but I have found that to be quite useful. At a glance, I can tell exactly what I’m set at, so I have an idea of how much adjustment that I can make. There are multiple attachments making it user friendly for phones, even multiple phones, ipads and cameras. It even comes with remotes. It’s awesome to have the ability to change the lighting without having to walk over to make changes. I haven’t used the camera remote yet so I can’t say if they ae difficult to set up but I’m happy to have the option. There are 2 USB outlets on the back of the light. Super useful to keep my electronics charges while in use. Nothing worse than a dead battery in the middle of a project! I have limited space, so the final love of this light is that it comes with a storage bag and it’s easy to fold up and put away. It would be great for someone that needed it to be mobile as well. This was a terrific upgrade for me. I love it!

In case you missed my title, the 22-inch version is much bigger than a standard ring light. You can fit three phones or a tablet in the middle of it if you want. I wouldn't prefer this ring light over a strobe and a 22-inch octabox, but constant lights (and ring lights) have their uses.I love that it's so big as far as ring lights go, and that the light is lightweight. All the accessories, like the rolling stand, remotes, and phone clamps/holders, are pretty low quality. BUT that's what I'd expect in a set like this, and to be fair, they all seem to work okay. If you don't plan any heavy use, they'll probably be fine. I'm not sure I'd trust the super clamp to hold my iPad, though.I wish the light were also RGB instead of just white, but at least you can adjust the color temperature among 5 settings (warm to cool). And overall, the price of around $110 for the whole set is decent, but that's mostly because of the huge ring light. One nice detail on the light is that all three of the 1/4-20 threaded holes also have a cold shoe slot, so they can hold additional (not included) accessories that way.As far as LEDs go, this is a very bright light that is pretty well diffused. If you want a constant light for taking pictures of still subjects—and you don't have any worry about googly eyes (donut-shaped catchlights in the eyes)—this might be a good choice for you. It'll definitely provide more light than all the smaller ones out there, and more light means the camera sensor has more information to render better color and dynamic range in pictures. This would be a fine video light, too, if you're not very far from it. With the inverse square law, if you double your distance from the light, you'll have a quarter of the light. Anyway, if you're not planning on getting professional-level photo or video equipment where you'd want to attach light modifiers and such (like softboxes with a Bowens mount), this could be a really good bright light for your photos or videos. For context, I'm an advanced hobbyist photographer who does conceptual portraits, so my main lights are powerful strobes that I can attach light modifiers/shapers to. But I also use constant lights for backdrops, shadow fill, and color play. So far, in addition to my sample pics with a phone, I've used this light in a photo shoot, folding the light and using it to light the lower portion of a backdrop and to simultaneously outline part of the backs of my subjects.I've never wanted a ring light as a key/main light because I don't like the googly-eye look of the catchlights they create. But I have some ideas for shots with big curved lights in them, so this 22-inch ring light will be great for that.

This light ring checks all the boxes! It comes in a nice carry bag and feels very solid. It has wheels which makes it very stable easy to move around. Comes with two remote controls. One to adjust the light and the other to connect to your phone and take selfie pictures. Remote control makes it really easy and fast to change to the needed light intensity. The ring itself is very bright and was very easy to put together. With the ability to attach multiple devices this is a great choice for anyone from an inspiring you tuber to anyone who needs light for performance or photo taking. Great value for the money.
