Before purchasing this I was using 3M ones, but used to get ear pain while going on long rides. So I bought this one which is for small ear canals. This is comfortable, should be used as mentioned in their instruction. Comfortable and mutes wind noise to a great extend (not 100%)

Best earplugs and the only ones that stay in my small ears

The plugs are very comfortable, do not hurt, and block out almost all noise. Even my alarm clock.I have to take off a star, because some of the foam peels off and stays in the ear canal. Therefore, I will have to look for other plugs.

I got these because, for now, I live in a rental house right off the main road in a small town. It sucks. Uh, the whole house shakes whenever a column of semi trucks comes through town (which is most weeknights). These will not permanently block noise out, but they'll reduce it and I usually only hear my white noise machine plus my fan plus my space heater. My ears are small, but not small enough for the Dream Girls plugs, so these are a happy medium for me. Plus, they're purple, my favorite color. The other beige ones fell out for me, but not these. You roll these plugs up real small, then put them in your ear and let them expand before letting them sit. I just hold a finger to the end until the plug expands. One pair should last at least a week or so. But, the pack is a pack of 50, so you've got enough when they start falling out to replace with another pair. I couldn't find these when I went searching, but the weather was bad so I didn't look hard. Amazon always has these, though, so I'll buy them here for this value.

These soft foam earplugs are a game-changer! They’re super comfortable and don’t irritate my ears, even if I wear them all night. The foam molds perfectly to block out noise, whether it’s a snoring partner or outside traffic. They’re also easy to insert and stay in place without feeling too tight. I love that they come in a big pack, so I’m always

I was so happy to find these. I have small ear canals, and other ear plugs are often quite uncomfortable to wear/use. These are great, and may be used many, many times. I always have a pair in my purse in case I want to nap in the library, in my car, or anywhere else. I use them in hotels and on airplanes as well as at home, and am so glad to have found ear plugs that are so comfortable as well as effective.

Highly recommend trying these if you have struggled with foam earplugs. As an older guy I've struggled for decades with foam earplugs (for shipyards, powerplants, cutting the lawn, shop work, etc.), and was thrilled when a relative gave me a pair of these to try. Recently I've taken to using them at night and when at the gym (with a bone conduction headset). Even as slim fits it's still slightly convoluted for me to get them well inserted (and they come out "bent"), but once fully inserted (which I apparently could never do with ALL the other earplugs I've tried) it's staggering how effective and comfortable they are. In my decades of using hearing protection I'd not realized quite how effective this type could be when they're really fitted well. At night all the ambient noises are completely gone - no doors opening/closing, spouse snoring, kitchen noises, TV, etc. And I find them exceedingly comfortable and they stay in all night, with no driving desire in the AM to pull them out.

After trying many types of ear plugs for motorcycling, these are by far the best. The size and soft foam makes for a very comfortable ride, even for several hours without removal. Other types of plugs simply don't do much (the "tuned" ones), are too uncomfortable or even give me a headache after long rides. These are near perfect, keeping wind noise to a minimum (I have tinnitus and the wind noise can drive me a bit nuts a few hours into a ride) and comfortable enough to completely forget them and just enjoy the ride.

I live next to a house rattling door slammer,. These little ear plugs are excellent and block out 99 percent of next doors noise. They are slimmer than your average earplug which means for me, I wake up with them still in my ears and they do not ease out during the night like some of the other ones do. I have found once inserted correctly they are comfortable and stay put. They are nice and soft in the ear and they don't block out my alarm and I am very relieved to have found them. I would happily buy them again.

Personally it takes a while to get it to fit, but it works great at dulling sharp sounds. I’m impressed.

To the one struggling to decide which ear plugs to get, I hope this helps. I spent hours, if not days, researching ear plugs on Amazon. I ended up with 8 different ones because, well, I’m indecisive. Many of these didn’t work for me due to my own weird ear anatomy but I wanted to give my experience with each and what I’d recommend given your situation. Everything is subjective, but I hope this helps someone else as the previous reviews helped me. I’ll put my quick summary first and the details after for those wanting more info. *The pink ear plug is an average run-of-the-mill ear plug for size comparison. To summarize:If you have shorter ear canals and more sensitive ears I would recommend Mack’s Thermafit, adult/kids silicone ear plugs, or Hearos Softstar foam. If you have average ear canals and want the most noise blocking I would get Howard Leight. If you prefer contoured earplugs and find them to be the most comfortable then get Flents Protech Contour. If you have very narrow (but not short) ear canals, then get Mack’s slim fit or Flents Protech Sleeping.White Hearos Softstar foam:These ear plugs are wider than most but shorter and the foam is very soft. They are comfortable and didn’t hurt my ears, even when laying on my side. The foam is so light and fluffy though it lets in more noise than other ear plugs. If comfort is most important to you, you’re a side sleeper, and you don’t need complete silence, these are for you.Tan Mack’s Thermafit:This was the last pack of ear plugs I ordered to try and I finally found the right ones for me. The foam expands more quickly and is a bit rougher texture than others but once you get it in your ear it is just as comfortable at the Hearos and blocks as much (if not more) noise as Howard Leights and silicone. If you have short ear canals, want something comfortable that blocks out the most noise, try Mack’s thermafit.Purple Mack’s Slim fit:I have somewhat smaller ear canals but these were too narrow for me. They didn’t block any sound and despite them being thin, they are still long. If you have very narrow ear canals that are an average length, these would be a good choice for you.Dark Green Howard Leight low pressure:Howard Leights are soft and I found that they blocked out the most sound out of all the ear plugs I tried. They are a bit long for my ears but I just have short ear canals. If you have average ear canals and want the most noise blocking ear plugs, I would recommend these.Light Green Flents Protech Contour:I like contour ear plugs because my ears are sensitive. These are pretty large ear plugs and not the best for those with small ears. They were the best price of all the earplugs I tried. If you have average-larger ear canals, are a side sleeper, or prefer contoured ear plugs, these are for you.Blue/White Flents Protech Sleeping:I thought these would be my Goldilocks ear plugs after I liked the regular Protech contour ones but found them to be too big. Well these were way too small. They fit in my ears easily but don’t block any noise, much like the slimfits. I can still hear the clock ticking, the traffic, my dog snoring everything. I’m so bummed! If you have tiny (and I mean tiny) ears and like the contoured foam, I would get these.Mack’s silicone ear plugs (orange kids and clear regular):As someone who generally hates having things deep in my ears, silicone ear plugs sounded like the way to go. I found the clear ones to be huge and I was having to cut them in half so I ended up getting the kids size. They are comfortable and are good for side sleeping. They also block out a lot of noise. My issue with these is that they tend to suction to your ear which is uncomfortable and you can hear your heart beating in your ears. I think it’s something you can get use to though. If you hate foam/regular ear plugs, have small or sensitive ears, and want to still block a lot of noise, I’d try these.Of all the ones I tried, I found Mack’s Theramfit to be the best all around.Happy sleeping!
