Works for high-flow or flooded cooling. From what I've seen, this cutting fluid would be ideal for flooded band-saws and CNC machines where you run a continuous stream of thin coolant. It works ok for manual milling, but it doesn't cling to the surface of the material very well so I probably wouldn't use it for any kind of turning where it will likely just get flung off.

Used this cutting oil when I was milling some cold rolled steel out, drilling holes and it does a good job at keeping the metal cool. I have used other cutting oils that I purchased locally and would compare this brand of cutting oil to the other cutting oils that I have used as far as cooling/performance goes! I mixed ~10% water with the cutting oil when I put it in a spray bottle to use it.

This machine grinding fluid is great for when I'm tapping a hole in my engine block head or doing some metal fabrication work. It says to dilute this fluid but I will sometimes use it full strength or dilute it 10:1. I also use this fluid on various chains or blades that I need to keep rust free when not in use. 5 stars.

I tried this on the lathe in a brushed on application; however, it did not cling well enough to be useful. I then tried it using a mist, and it worked great - also worked great in a recycled flooded application on my band saw. Bottom line - it is thin (and doesn't gum up) and works best in a misting or flooded application.

I picked this up for my home shop. This oil is intended to be mixed 10:1 or 20:1 with water. I filled a quick cup of it, and tried some turning. When mixed 10:1, it is too 'thin' to be used as a brush-on cutting fluid. I found it got thrown off almost immediately. However, when I used it with my surface grinder as a flood coolant, I found that it was at least as good as most other grinding coolants I've used.So if you have a mister or a flood coolant, this is likely a good choice. I DO appreciate that it is not very 'smelly' like some other fluids I've used in the past, it has a nice neutral smell, which is particularly nice if you have manual machines where you'll get some on you!
