This item is not surgical quality. It is as good as any I have used in an athletic training room. Depending on your intended use will determine if you want it or not.

Very, very disappointed with this bandage shear. I expected a nice, smooth cutting action-- not so!The scissors are made very cheaply, and it took an effort just to open and close them...let alone trying to cut through a bandage. Miserable quality stainless steel, if it is actually stainless. Save your money on this one...I just tossed mine into the trash.

1. The scissor edge was obviously hand ground by the marks left on the steel. It is uneven, and the scissors do not have a smooth and uniform feel as they close.2. The leading edge is a large squarish nub. It is more a bulldozer blade than an airplane wing, and it doesn't easily slide under the bandage. The patient says "ouch" when you force it under.

Work great and the sum fit makes the side easily anywhere. I clean them with hospital grade wipes at work and they still maintain there shine.

Purchased as an add-on.Can't beat 4$ for nursing scissors. I like that they are longer for removing dressings more easily.
