I needed a way to precisely shim the build bed support screws on my oversize 3D printer, so a fixed bed height would work with my automatic bed-leveling app. The package comes with 4 smaller but unlabeled bags inside. It was easy enough to measure the thickness of a bag's product using a caliper tool, and label the bags with a permanent ink marker.After that, it was a task of identifying the build plate's high corner, and then measuring the out-of-level distances for the other three corners. As any 3D printer owner knows, adjusting one corner of the build plate skews the other three corners. I used a 0.7mm and a 0.9mm thick washer I found in my parts cabinet at home, then added the shim washers to more finely calibrate the distances I needed. After only 2 rounds of adding washers, battening down the screws, re-heating the build bed, and re-measuring elevations, I had all four corners of the build plate within 0.2 mm of perfect, and well within the compensatory capabilities of the automatic bed leveling app.For the first time, I was able to print a corner to corner test print across the entire expanse of the 400x400 build plate. I wish I had bought these shims a couple of years ago, which were much easier to use than the homemade shims I had previously made using soda drink cans!

This is one of those things that use to be hard to find. They work as intended and are simple to install as long as you can see them, lol.

I have used these in multiple RCs (dozens and dozens!) And I have not had a single issue from them. They always fit, always feel great and are a very reasonable price. Great addition to any RC build!
