About this item

  • 500 Hz sampling rate
  • Ultra-compact form factor
  • ±0.5% accuracy
  • Overload protected to 200% of capacity
  • Reversible housing and display

Product Description

Series 2 digital force gauges are designed for basic tension and compression force testing applications up to 500 lbF (2,500 N). Peak tension and compression readings are reliably captured via the gauges' ±0.5% accuracy and 500 Hz sampling rate. A backlit graphic LCD displays the current, peak tension, or peak compression reading.

The gauges are overload protected to 200% of capacity. An ergonomic, reversible aluminum housing allows for hand held use or fixture mounting, rugged enough for applications in both production and laboratory environments. Series 2 gauges are directly compatible with Mark-10 test stands and grips.

Just bought a second one of these for our manufacturing shop. We use them to measure pull off forces of soldered electronic components and bend strength of injection molded parts. Works great, sturdy metal case (would expect plastic at this price.) Quick help from their phone support people about how to align the gauge to our fixtures. I like "made in USA" too.

Good gage, works well, better than Chinese junk

Stopped working after just a few weeks with very light usage. Constantly displays “OVER” error, I reached out to the manufacturer with no response. Anyway, I would not recommend this thing. The menu is impossible to navigate, doesn’t measure in ounces so I had to do the conversion manually. Agree with other reviewers, this thing is so heavy that I felt like I was getting carpal tunnel.

High quality force gauge, durable construction, stay within tolerances, and it has a very compact form factor. Not too many features, but fine for our purposes, the menu system is easy to navigate.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS THING!!!! I bought this thing for my techs to use it in the field when servicing our elevators. I’ve used many force gauges in the past and I’ve never seen anything this bad. Didn’t last a single day. Battery only lasted a couple of hours. You have to take the whole thing apart just to access the battery. To switch from tension to compression you must take the housing off. Never seen such a ridiculous design!

This does not include any of the attachments for pulling or pushing (rods, tips, etc). It is fine for us, but it is bare bone gauge only.
