The instructions don't tell you where/how to mount the unit. You have to adjust the speed because it's off by 4mph (set like this from factory) but it can be adjusted. The display on the windshield works unless it's bright out. Direct, bright sun washes out the display a bit. I'm a big "no cord" guy. I put up a TV or surround system and I make sure those cords are undetectable. The cords for this have to be pugged into it to work which means cords are always visible. That eats at me, but overall it's an okay unit.

At first, I really wasn't sure how much I was going to use this HUD device. Now that I have had this for a few weeks, I find that it is absolutely indispensible for my vehiicle, & I really need one in all of my vehicles! We just replaced the transmission in the SUV that I put this is, & I having to get used to driving my vehicle again. So, not having to constantly look down at my speedometer is great! I can keep an eye on my speed while still being able to focus on my driving. The manual is a little confusing for a few of the settings, but overall, this is super easy to plug in & drive, once you have installed the reflector piece on the windshield. I also find that it is easy to make adjustments as to where I need this placed on my dash. But this has been way more useful than I ever thought it would be, & I am so happy that I have it.

This really is a fantastic HUD. It's bright, colorful, very easy to read, and since the buttons are conveniently located facing the driver seat, it's easily adjusted. The accuracy of the speed was off by about 4 MPH though right out of the box. However, reading the really fine print in the instructions revealed that it's set like that from the factory. Following the instructions, it was very simple to adjust the speed to display a more accurate reading when compared to my Android head unit, which uses a separate GPS antenna of course.NOTE: The pic doesn't fully show all of the LED segments due to the difference in their flash rate compared to my camera's shutter speed.

I ordered this as my 2022 Honda Insight does not have a digital speedometer, just the analog gauge. Speed traps are everywhere here, so being able to see the speed at all times on the windshield allows you to know your speed and not become a revenue generator. In the photos I attached is the full documentation that provides no real instructions for installation, just how to change settings. The unit sits on a silicone grippy pad to keep it solidly in place on the dash top. The projection pad has no instructions on where to place for distance and angle to get the best image - thankfully I didn't really need it as the windshield has solar coatings to reduce glare and UV and showed the image well - my images are only a bit unfocused as the projection is not constant and I couldn't quite catch the clearest image given the camera speed. The good part of this product is that the unit projects the speed well onto the windshield without the stick on projection pad. The unit connects to satellites for GPS data in less than a minute. The following are the less than good items for the product. My car has a steep windshield angle and no amount of fiddling could get the projection pad in the right place. Getting power to the unit means a power cord from a USB port up and across to the unit is always in view. A rechargeable battery would have worked better and eliminated the cord clutter. This unit is not a bad value for the price even with its flaws, but could probably be updated for just a few dollars more to be even more functional.

I have used many different types of heads up display units for my job. Most all have done a pretty good job with varying levels of success. This unit is the first that is designed to project the information onto the windshield of the vehicle. While I will say this functionality is there and the settings are on a par with other units in this class, the ability to project a useable image onto the windshield so the it is legible fails.I tried it on 3 different vehicles. A 2023 Ford Bronco Sport, a 2015 Jeep Cherokee and a 2007 Honda Pilot. In each case the projected image was split, like the different levels of glass reflect the information back at a different angle. (See attached photo, yes the background is out of focus but the HUD is in focus)Next miss is the typically bad owners manual. While it has basic operating instructions for the device, there is no mention of how to mount this to your vehicle. The kit includes two transparent sheets, similar to ones you find included in dash cam kits to hold the camera to the glass. Seeing as there are no mounts of any sort included, I am not sure what to do with these sheets. They might be used for reducing the above image issues, but without any guidance, who knows. If in fact these sheets are for that, I would still avoid this item as the last thing I want in my direct line of sight is something that distorts my field of view.Years ago there was an app for the iPhone that would turn it into a HUD and that projected the image just fine onto the windshield so it is possible to do what this. Item tries to do.Here is how I rate items:5 Stars = Exceeds all expectations, A definite buy! (Very Rare)4 Stars = Excellent find, you should definitely give it a shot.3 Stars = It works and functions as advertised.2 Stars = A little scary, possibly OK, it may work out.1 Stars = Avoid this product, not worth the effort.

It NEVER was able to CONNECT TO A SATELLITE! Drove around for awhile and it NEVER found a SINGLE SATELLITE to connect to! Promptly returned!

For the price you shouldn't expect the form and function of OEM HUD's right :) For a budget version, this gets the job done. Be aware that having a new physical object near your line of sight in your vehicle can be distracting at first, not to mention a new projected "object" on your windshield. Be safe!
